But we don't have any of the shmups from Degica beyond Crimzon Clover (which isn't up to date, anyway).... why, exactly?
Oh! Amazing art direction! :O
Just out of curiosity: Why do we always get vertical shooters? Why not some horizontal ones? Jets ´n Guns or similar.
Masck Industries...very subtle devs...very subtle indeed. :P
Well, I have message for those redacted persons that low rated my post - gog should get ancient abyss and it should get more games on this site and you're all still redacted.

Ancient Abyss is from same devs and same pub and both happens to have only this game in GOG catalogue. That's why I'm still on topic. GOG choose to announce only published game and not game that is most certainly going to be published here.

the hypocrisy of GOG, Rejecting Japanese shoot em up but allowing those made by hipster indie devs. sure gives the impression that GOG is biased when it comes to who makes the games and then deciding on its release here.

But then again seeing as GOG bans a person for 2 weeks because of a joke shows how SJW they are when it comes to judgment.

The staff behind GOG are just pushing their own agenda and games they want, not those that users or fans of certain games want. You can see that reflected in the wishlist games that got rejected without any actual reasoning.

I can see GOG now also practices censorship when they are being called out for their hypocrisy about releasing games and moral reasoning for banning people over a joke.

I really want to see the explanations from the person who decided that adding this game to the catalog is a good idea.

It was released two years ago on Steam and has only 288 positive reviews (which is very small relative to the scale of the Steam audience), many of which are not even Steam purchases, but keys activations (I don't say that they were given away for free but they probably were).

This game has a community wishlist entry with just ONE vote:

Why is it here? What makes this game so special? Why did you decide that this game is less "niche" than many other games that you rejected?
I think most of us have come to accept that GOG curation is mostly one guy in a basement using a die which is not at home in a Euclidian universe.

That said, while this is far from pretty what gets even more on my nerves are people who end up blaming games that do make it through in some way. It's not the game's fault the die came up showing Cthulhu's tentacles while some other game came up with Nyarlathotep's bum hole.

And for the record, I have no strong feeling regarding this game one way or the other. I don't feel like top-down shooters at all right now.
