Is it possible to get my money back (or choose a different game to buy) on a purchase I just accidentally made? I haven't downloaded the game yet.

If there is way, how is it done?
Do not download a game or extras and just contact the support.
Contact support and ask the question, they helped me today :)
Normally GOG doesn't do refunds, but I believe they may make an exception if you haven't downloaded the game yet. Contact customer support at http://www.gog.com/en/support/contact
Has the new EU directive already kicked in?

Anyway, even if not, GOG will refund you probably anyway, since they are the nice guys. But do not download!

Hmm, I wonder whether it is a good idea to go on vacation there. A friend of mine was on Zakynthos the last two weeks, he says that the people were very friendly and that they had lots of fun... yet the media paints a whole different story about other parts of the country. -_- Maybe some parts are better than others?

That's how the whole world is. Some parts of the U.S. are better than others (some parts of the North are better, some parts of the South are better), I'm guessing you'd tell me some parts of Macedonia are better than others, etc. Except for Vagabondland - the whole place is legit.
If you live in the United Kingdom for example you can request a full refund for your digital purchase (over a certain period of time, I think) regardless if you have downloaded/played the game or not and whoever sold you the game, should, by law, provide it to you

From what I heard most Isles are doing as fine as before. But they're mostly tourists villages/attractions anyways, so little surpise there.

I have just canceled the payment. It's not like I've got anything better to do at home before the PlanetSide 2 beta starts... ;)

In case you don't get your money back on your account by the end of the week (refunds usually take a few business days), please drop me a PM or create a support ticket.

We're working with Runic in order to resolve this issue. Right now we're expecting a new build from them, as we don't know why the one we got from them initially is incompatible with mods. Unfortunately, of all the things we checked before the release, mods gave us the slip.
how does one accidently buy something though?

its not like a 1 click thing.
