Thanks for the free game GOG, I had forgotten about that perk . . . =)
So who's Pheonix Wright on steam? He's been trying to promote the GOG version on steam but it's falling on deaf ears. Some people are so far up steam's ass that they literally said they'd rather still buy the steam version take the extra securom drm with it over having a drm-free version.

I pre-ordered on 11/19/2010. I can download the preorder goodies but can't download the game files or get access to my one free RPG. What am I doing wrong?

Edit: Okay, so you're saying to buy the game again to finalize the order? So, what was the point of pre-ordering before? And we won't get doubly charged?

You didn't buy the game when you pre-ordered it. GOG had a bit of an unusual way of using the term, but it basically just meant that you registered your interest for the game. This of course makes it cool of the GOG guys that we got anything at all for that, since it wasn't the binding kind of pre-order.

Now you have the option of actually buying the game (in the same way as you'd buy any other game on GOG) and only then will you be charged.
Thanks for the big deal Gog! I think my pc will not even be able to run The Witcher 2 right now but I had to get it to show my support to your commendable initiative. You know the drill guys. Keep up the good work.

It's worth mentioning that the Steam version backs up all your savegames to the Steam servers, which seems to me a major perk especially considering how many playthroughs of the game I will likely do. I've been a fan of Steam for a long time, but the opportunity to directly support the developers and get a copy DRM free was more attractive to me on principle.

Something went wrong with the emails, they will send a new one today. But you should be able to find the coupons in the source code of your confirmation email, see:

Am I the only one who doesn't keep saved games anyway? I mean once I finish the game I don't care about them at all. If I ever play the game again I will just restart anyway.

Same here.
Email has the W2 cdkey and after that the 2 EURO codes for 5.99 and 9.99 of general store credit.
But nowhere in the email body is the link or code for the additional dowload of the 1 of 5 predetermined games.
So my question is, will there be another email still coming ?
