You only have 6 days left to pre-order The Witcher 2, but that’s not the great news today. The great news today is that now you can officially purchase and pre-download 95% of the game before launch day--a GOG.com exclusive! You won’t have to download the whole game on the release day with the whole world, so you’ll be able to play The Witcher 2 sooner. Get it DRM-Free only on GOG.com with the best digital distribution package available.

Pre-order now to grab the full exclusive bag of goodies with all of the bonus material: a virtual version of the collector’s edition artbook, the whole soundtrack with 4 unreleased tracks exclusive to GOG.com, wallpapers, avatars and a photo tour showing the behind the scenes work of your favorite CDProjekt Red team. Last (but not least!) you get one of five epic RPGs for free.

If you don't know what the fuss is about, our very own sister company CDP Red is about to blow the world away with the new Witcher 2 :) They listened to community and fan feedback, they incorporated all the changes people wished for and they have a whole lot of surprises waiting for you in the next installment of the Witcher saga.
If you never received (or can't find) your game's product key, instructions on how to get your free classic RPG, or your Fair Price Package codes (if applicable), go here:

thedaus: I preordered The Witcher 2 some time ago but with the wrong country setting, will the fact that I changed it now (before paying and downloading) mean that I will get the version for the setting I have now or the old one I preordered with?
We changed the rules of the preorder after most of the people preorderd, so we will honor your current location (as set now in your account settings), and not the location discovered while you preordered.
I paid for my pre-order shortly after they said they fixed the e-mail thingy and I got the e-mail in working order with the free game redeem link and all.

Korn1699: There was nothing in the source of the email I got other than what was showing up.
avatar
Venom: We will send you a proper version of the email soon, sorry for the trouble.
Same problem here.

I only got this message:
---
This is your order summary (#XXXXXXXXXXX)

Hi [insert username here], thanks for your order!
Below are products that you have ordered. Please review the details of transaction. If you feel that there has been a mistake or you have any questions regarding your order, do not hesitate to contact our support team .
The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings
---
Also this thing is a problem:

What if I already own all the available free titles?
If that is the case, contact our Support team as soon as you purchase, or pre-purchase, The Witcher 2 and they'll sort you out with an alternative gift.

Are there any plans to add a Polish version later? You added here a Polish version of The Witcher 1 and CDPR is a Polish company, so it shouldn't be much problem, should it?

Polish language pack will be downloadable via the launcher
Okay, ordering done. I got Witcher 2, Neverwinter nights, and Serius Sam for 45€, plus a free rpg. That's what I call a deal.
But since I'm going to bed now, and will be working tomorow, you should add a "Shutdown PC when finished" option to your downloader ^^

The epic RPG you're supposed to be able to download for free will not work for me! Every time I try to download any of the preorder bonuses it forwards me to a page that says this:

"Thank you for your preorder!

Our bonus goody bears are still gathering together all of the bonus goodies that come with your preorder of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Digital Premium Edition, but you can download the free game right here.
Come back to gog.com for the rest of your bonus content on the 17th of May!"

There is a link you can click on in the text "right here" that I assume is supposed to forward you to the page where you can choose which game you want to download but whenever I click on it, it doesn't work. It just reloads the same page. What gives?

EDIT: I also only have 123 mbs left to go on my 9.6 gb download and it just completely stopped. What the heck is going on?

Only the actual preorder goodies, which include some wallpapers, tracks, pics etc. The other stuff that comes with the Digital Premium edition is available at any time.
So where do I DL the game?
It says:"you will be able...predownload the game on May 10, 2011".
Well...that is now...or 10May 2200GMT has passed long ago (as was first announced).

Do you get an email with the instructions, or do you have to check the My Account - games?

You need to pay for the preorder first, then you can download it from My Account > My Games tab.

@H4wkeye

Can you expand on this? I admit that I am slightly confused on the pre-order process as a whole. I pre-ordered in Nov 10 and still don't really have any indication of when/how to pay the pre-order other than through the normal purchase system.

Is that the way to finalize the pre-order?

Thanks,

To finalize the pre-order just buy TW2 as you buy all other games on GOG.com. After you purchase the game you'll receive an email with all instructions how to redeem 1 of 5 free classic RPGs.

@Cook,

Thanks for the info. I assumed, wrongly, that early pre-orders would have been sent an email to notify of this requirement. Will go through with the order now. I loved the Witcher 1 game (but still trying to finish it!)

Whence comes that statement? I was looking for something to that effect but failed to find anything.

Edit: nvm, found it on http://www.gog.com/en/page/tw2v3 -- you have to click the FAQ button. :-)

Also, wow . . . I accidentally cleared my GOG cookie, and noticed I was logged out when I couldn't downrate a 1-minute-old spam post . . . by the time I logged in, it had mysteriously disappeared -- the GOG mod team are clearly ninjas!
