Got this in Dave's latest newsletter. It's developed by Wormwood Studios, and published by WEG. Some snippets of information:
Story
Ages have passed since legendary Man walked the planet. Now, in the desolate wastelands beyond the city of Metropol, a solitary robot named Horatio jealously guards his freedom and independence.

All that is taken away from him when a marauding foe steals his power source, forcing him to leave the safety of his home and set out on a perilous journey into the wastes - and into his own mysterious past.

Starring the voice talents of
Abe Goldfarb (Joey from the Blackwell series) (HELL YEAH!!!)
Logan Cunningham (Bennet from Resonance, Rucks from Bastian)
Sarah Elmaleh (Anna from Resonance)

Estimated release date: Fall, 2012
Wormwood's website:

-edit- clarified that it's developed by Wormwood Studios.

This must be the game that I saw a couple of screenshots from a while ago. Sounds pretty cool, definitely looking forward to seeing how it develops.
This has a very strong "Beneath a steel sky" feel to it. And I like the premise. It got me thinking for a while, especially the "format" part. Almost everyone with a PC had to do a format at least once or twice, and they (we) made a significant change that impacted the whole PC and over time it molded into something completely different than before. And it's a miniature system compared to what would theoretically power a whole society. And while the process could be drastically different, the purpose of a format might not be.
I'd read about this earlier - I'm hoping that the game's being done in AGS again, as I'd love to play this in WINE.

But man, Joey and Rucks together! Awesome!
Seeing how I thoroughly enjoyed every one of WJE's offerings I've played thus far (the ones available on GOG), I most definitely will snap this one up as soon as GOG is accepting pre-orders for it. :)

It's in AGS.

Abe Goldfarb and Logan Cunningham are awesome. So's Sarah Elmaleh, but I didn't get to hear her voice in the game yet. Her character gets the best line ever in the history of gaming and Portal or Torment don't even come close and I think I'm in love so yeah.

Abe Goldfarb's character gets the best joke. It's a boomerang type of joke where it flies by and you think "haha that was pretty cool" and then it turns around and hits you on the head when you aren't looking.

Same here. I couldn't help but vote for it on the wishlist.

To keep everyone excited, here's what's in WJE's latest newsletter:
Preview write-ups!
Last week, we sent a preview build of the game out to the press. Here's what they have to say:

"This might be Wadjet Eye's best release to date." (True PC Gaming)

"Truly astounding." (Creative Gaming UK)

"If possible, 4 thumbs up!" (Video Game People)

"A strong, atmospheric world that you can’t help but want to experience more of." (Capsule Computers)

"Primordia is badass. Old school point ‘n’ click brain-teasing at its finest, set in an inspired dystopian world of sentient robots." (Nerdy but Flirty)

"[This] sci-fi mystery keeps you asking questions you’ll want to answer." (Side Questing)

Again, this sounds awesome. Here's to hoping it'll be on GOG.
Considering how well Wadjet Eye was received here they'll likely have it for sale at launch, if not soon after.
Damn, super excited.

I still have to play the fourth Blackwell game (from IR bundle) and Resonance (a future IR bundle!).

I think Wadjet Eye is one of the top adventure developers out there. Love their work!

Yeah, I've been following this project since Dave first announced it. It looks so awesome from the stills, and I am anxious to be able to play it.

If you don't have it, I have a steam key left over from when I bought the boxed edition promo, if you're ever interested in a trade for it. If not no worries, but I figured I'd offer. :)

Edit: LMAO woops I meant to put Resonance...Wow, I failed.

Too bad they're releasing it this year. Now Resonance won't be uncontested as the best game of 2012.

The fact their games just get better and better with every release fills me with so much hope for WEG. Their products remind me of old LA/Sierra games in terms of fun and quality.
Just to clarify, Resonance and Primordia are mainly developed by separate teams. I'm not sure how much influence WEG has on the projects, but it's likely minimal.
