Gabe's dick, how ever pretty it might be, has nothing to do with it. They want DRM for Fallout games and as a brand Arx Fatalis has no mening to them what so ever, so they don't care if it's sold DRM free, as doing anything to that game would bring no more money in their coffers as its doing right now.

Interplay lost the rights to the games and could no longer sell them (and the Fallouts were pulled from all digital distribution sites for a while). With Arkane, it was mentioned that Bethesda/Zenimax would allow the contract between GOG/Arkane to run its course. No idea what will happen when the contract expires.

With the decline and removal of Games for Windows Live, I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft signed on, at least for some of their older games like Age of Empires and Fable.

Except they're working on a revamped Windows 10 Store unified with Xbox one so i assume that they will focus their own store instead of gog.

The original Bioshock is DRM-free on Humble Store, so they shouldn't have a problem with that.

Bioshock 2 and the Borderlands games are dependent on Steamworks for multiplayer. I'd love to see them, but they may be harder sells.

Yeah, MS has for ages wanted to become more intepended of other retailers, be it games or other software. If they could they'd cut out all the other retailers out of the loop completely.

I'm a Microsoft investor, not a big player, but a small player. I own 10 shares in Microsoft.

The chat I go into sometimes has some Microsoft investors who are like me who don't even own 1% of Microsoft investors who asks Microsoft if they will release their video games for sale on gog.com. However if you don't own 1% of Microsoft shares you are not on their board, but Microsoft still listens to the less than 1% investors feedback. Microsoft doesn't have to listen to it's investors either. At least if you are not on their board.

I'm playing it right now. It was worth every penny.

I could say that they're losing money by not selling their old titles (that are not even being used) but something tells me that they have some developers making HD version of those so that they can sell at a higher price...

As for the topic, i would say 2k > SquareEnix > Sega.

I would even say that i wouldn't be surprised to see new games released here from Ubisoft (M&M games), Paradox Interactive or even EA (yeah, maybe not). My train of thought? Well, let's be honest here, bundles devalue games, if you check the big publishers humble bundles you will see that some of them appeared here therefore i could see those that i've mentioned also appearing here, not sure about sega since they're stubborn.

Btw why doesn't Paradox Interactive has more games here? I would imagine that the audience of gog is good for selling grand strategy games...

So in other word MS is not interested. Small party of minor holders are open to the idea, but as a company and for the big share holders, that doesn't register even as a blip in the radar. If MS has it's way only MS will sell MS products, at least in software.

So you're saying that only left minded people who think pirating isn't a practice they want to be involved in would be willing to pay for AoE games? I think there may be a few "crazy" people like that in the world, and they just might like to play AoE games considering they're still awesome.
