According to Amazon, I ordered SWAT 4 Gold on July 8, 2012 for $10 and Command & Conquer: The First Decade for $17.89. Now, new copies of SWAT 4 Gold start at $125 and C&C TFD starts at $54! This is why I support (DRM free) digital distribution. Of course, as witnessed with SWAT 4, it is of little consolation when the distribution rights are scattered to the wind.
You're in my way sir.

The first moments of Mission 13 never fail to crack me up.

Enebias: Unfortunately, SWAT 4 is a game that will probably be annihilated by the legal mess it is in. Nobody knows who owns which piece of the whole among licences, intellectual property and whatnot, and I doubt the parties involved will even think about renouncing to their potential rights "just" to preserve a classic.
You've got to love Capitalism! What kind of world will this be without some hungry bastards pushing their own creations to oblivion rather than share something? Better gaining nothing and let a great game die than allow anyone else to profit, right? :P
More seriously, that is a real modern plague that threatens art -of any kind- like nothing else, imo.

By the way, I have been very lucky: just two months ago, I found brand new (well, more like "not yet used or opened", since thay have been produced years ago) physical copies of both the original game and the expansion for 2,99€ and 4,99€ respectively, the last in stock. What a deal!
Can GOG try to negotiate with the actual owners of the rights to release a GOG version?
Too bad Spoony is soulless now :P

Love episode 4. "Agh, it's the type of bathroom you're always embarrassed to ask the clerk for the key. And it comes attached to the wooden block so you don't run off with it."

Gotta love the Clerks references there too.

Admittedly, his new stuff isn't as good as his stuff from back in 2010 or so (he still can be funny), but I wouldn't say he's soulless. Actually, the reason I found GOG was from him recommending his to viewers to pick up the two Ultima Adventure games free here.

So glad I found the Gold Edition at a retail store a few years back.
Copyright turns to bitch when it switches companies partially.

It the major reason GOG don't have most of old classic games that we enjoyed in H.A.R.M.'s Way. <-See what I did there.

I dunno, I think he would be soulless if he did things just to pander to his fans, as he is now it's just as he always was, an amusingly grouchy, cynical bastard who just does what he wants.

I can understand people not liking his shift in content focus, but I think he still nails it as good as ever whenever he does do a game review. The FF13 & Minority Report reviews were hysterical.
