Hi guys, does anybody know at what time on the 26th the game will be available?
I live in Germany, will i be able to download it at 0:00 on the 26th, or do i have to wait until it is the 26th in the USA or something like that?
I won't be able to play then anyways, but i could atleast install it and maybe havea quick look <3
It's supposed to be released at 9H00 PDT, so 17H00 Paris time (CET +1).

But you never know : see with Divinity : Original Sin. That was painful...

I was saying that more because of the utter clusterf*ck that seems to be going on at obsidian right now for giving their keys to the backers...

You know, like when a game is dragging his feets to come here, like worlds of magic, that can come from the devs too... KS is a wonderful thing but, each time, one of my project is releasing, having the key I want in a nice timing is most of the time an horrible pain in the bottom.
Not sure why people wait for the exact moment the servers impart it. First thing the game does is glitch out. Be ready for the glitches ;D
Gogbear is gonna show up at that time isn't he?

Prolly. People will have 50kBps DLs... :P
Give us backers the GOG key and let us preload?

It's times like these that make me glad I can't afford it at the moment.

By the time I can, at least the speed should be back to normal -- unless it turns up in a November Insomnia sale -- in which case, it'll be cheaper, but the DL speed will be about the same. Or the site GOGbears on me, just as I'm about to buy it! :-P

This is why GOG should have P2P support. They wouldn't have to pay as much for server cost overall (I'm sure the cost is negligible compared to salaries but still) but it would help during big sales or big releases so people aren't cut off. They could even add an incentive like GOG money or bigger cuts from sales.

Don't you imagine that would create another huge uproar? I mean, in order to make sure that the people who were using the P2P file transfers were allowed to play the game, there would have to be some sort of login and verification system to a central server.

Given that people start screaming like howler monkeys "DRM! DRM!" about disc checks or online-only features, wouldn't you think that would be a problem? Or is there a way to go about validating identity without adding another digital layer? (And, no, our existing login to the GOG website would not work - P2P is too distributed/decentralized for that)

You do realize that the Humble Store offers torrent files for the DRM-free games and that there is no extra verification required? Why would a DRM-free store suddenly care about protection from piracy?

No; I've never used Humble. I didn't know that. I don't think a DRM-free store would care. I do wonder how many publishers would care.

Time to go look stuff up, I guess.
