cw8: They should have done this massive publicity thing when there are 15 days left or something. Kinda came too late if u ask me.
I couldn't agree more. Frankly, the campaign was launched prematurely, they should have built up the hype for the game prior to kicking off the kickstarter.
I was disappointed with Angry Joes preview, looking forward to TB, hopefully he will put more effort into it.
Sheesh... that Angry Joe person really annoys me

Yeah, they know that. Seems like some sites published their articles on the game too soon and then there was Torment and Eternity and they couldn't have been sure another big game is heading our way, so they just decided to kick it off when they did.
It's a real pitty that we won't get the million though, but I do hope we'll get to 800k!

I don't know what the deal with him is, but he does have some good points he makes in his vids (as far as I've watched them...)
It's going great, hope it'll endure :) 800k goal is a must!

I don't understand why there is more than 200 people at $28 tier and more than 500 people at $35 tier.
At $40 tier you'll get a second copy of Divinity: Original Sin, another kickstarter potion and a soundtrack.
Another copy for only 5 bucks is not attractive enough for those who are at $35 or what?
Everyone who is really looking forward to this game should start at least at that tier.

Quite possibly. To some people, it's just a duplicate.

You can add it as an addon for $20, paying only $5 extra for a second copy is a no-brainer.
People could gift it to their friends to play co-op with or trade it for something else with somebody.
Considering that 1 copy of the game will cost $40 at release date, it would be stupid to not get it now :)
Let's smash through the $700k goal so that Kirill may get his own orchestra. I love his work, he's a true genius and one of the most underrated composers today.
Given the current pace of the "final dash", they're on track to hit 700k. They definitely need to keep banging the drums if they want to hit 800k, though.

Perhaps those 700 people have no friends (loner geek gamers). I'm on the $65 tier, but have no use for the second digital game. I will probably increase my bid to the boxed copy/digital copy+DC. Boxed copy would probably never be opened, but would look great on my game shelf.

I'm at the $65 tier too + $6 for membership in WoOS :)
I actually can't decide what I'll do with that second copy of the game.
Maybe I'll activate one copy on STEAM and I'll play it there because of some neat STEAM features, and I'll activate the second copy here to have the DRM-Free installer. Or I'll activate one copy at STEAM / GOG and trade the second copy with somebody for something else.

There's something called a gaming/kickstarter budgeting. I backed at the minimum as im flush out of major funds after Wasteland2/Project Eternity/Tides of Torment (2 out of 3 at $65+ physical tiers) + other small kickstarters. Just unfortunate timing.Cant justify paying more in my case :)
Update #27

666.666 barrier breached! Weresheep Of The Flock Unite!

If you have no idea who the weresheep are, have a look at www.weresheep.net. They are a group of backers who helped us tremendously throughout this campaign, and to thank them we included this secret stretch goal. Now that it is unlocked, they will become part of the lore of Divinity: Original Sin, and they will be included in the game. However, there are mysteries to be solved if you want to unleash the terrible secret of the Weresheep...

Weresheep lore

Dropping Hints And Picking Them Up

The weresheep are real. We are sure of it. But no one has actually seen one. Or perhaps that should be - no one has ever lived to tell of an encounter with these most bizarre and bloody beasts.

We've been told that to find them, many a hint need to be picked up. Some are so subtle that even a Source Hunter would be forgiven for letting the trail grow cold.

Dyed-In-The-Werewool

Everybody knows that if you can find a weresheep and kill it in combat, the great prize to be obtained is werewool! Its magical properties allow adventurers to craft weapons, pieces of armour and other items of great and fabled powers. Not to mention they're cosy, snug and warm!

But where to find a weresheep? Perhaps the legend of Falcon Black contains a clue...

The Mysterious, Unverified, Probably Untrue, But Wondrous Legend Of The Mighty Weresheep

video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=KvyvEpN38WY

There once was a wizard called Falcon Black, and he believed in the existence of weresheep. Until he was quite old he had never even heard of them, but one day, as he sat sipping beer in his favourite tavern, a bard arrived from a far away land and started to tell a tale; a strange legend about a lady from the sky who granted a luckless farmer his wish.

Wolves had killed his one sheep upon which the survival of his very family depended. The sheep will live, the lady promised, if you become the sheep. The farmer agreed, but something went wrong - deeply, unsettlingly wrong. The creature became restless; it lusted for blood.

Horrified by its own inclinations it hid in an undiscoverable lair, but once in a long, long while its bloodlust would overtake its reason and it would go out in search of prey. Come the morning, its woollen coat would be dripping with scarlet, and soon another weresheep would flock to the secret lair, for the victim whose blood he had drank in the night, in turn became a weresheep.

How many of them hide there now, no one can say, but one day the lair won't be able to hold them all and the weresheep will be unleashed ...

Falcon Black was mesmerised by the story and started to research the legend in The House That Holds All Books: the great library of Maxosbridge Academy. Not only did he find not a single trace of lore about the weresheep, he was also subjected to great ridicule by his fellow wizards. He was not to be deterred though. He sought the bard who told him the tale and asked him where he had heard the story. In Andavale, came the reply, at the court of Lord Crash, before it was utterly destroyed in a single night. There was blood everywhere, but not a single corpse was found.

And so it was that Falcon Black set sail for Andavale. He was never heard of again.

An enjoyable video - creepy and atmospheric! I still can't belive they totally embraced the idea of the Weresheep, it's incredible what a mere mention of such creatures on the forums ultimately led to.

Edit: Only 54 hours left!

Well that proves that Larian really really deserves to get as much as they can. And to be honest i think their comment section is one great place to be :).

And well beware of the weresheep :)
