Thanks to industry legend Charles Cecil and Revolution Software, the original version of the acclaimed adventure game is available as an exclusive bonus to gamers who purchase Broken Sword Director’s Cut.

After the release of Broken Sword Director's Cut, we saw lots of you asked for the original game. We've joined forces with Charles Cecil to bring the 1996 version of Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars (a.k.a. The Circle of Blood) to GOG's catalogue. the_voivod: Downloading now - I liked the DC but the original was definitely better. I actually own the original on disc(s) but it's nice to have it packaged up in a handy installer.

I take it this uses ScummVM too?
i just began the dc when it went on sale, why do you like this better?

log on to check for news game, and...here you go friend, free. it happened another game before and was enriching. great seeing it continue

You can add my thanks to theirs, GOG, I really wanted to play the original Broken Sword; but I've already got a problem. Hitting Save takes me out of the game. Any suggestions on what to do?

Nice to hear that I have a choice now. But, can anyone who's played both tell me which one I should start with? I've never played a Broken Sword game, and it seems that there are just as many people who laud the Director's Cut as those who despise it.
