Thanks to industry legend Charles Cecil and Revolution Software, the original version of the acclaimed adventure game is available as an exclusive bonus to gamers who purchase Broken Sword Director’s Cut.

After the release of Broken Sword Director's Cut, we saw lots of you asked for the original game. We've joined forces with Charles Cecil to bring the 1996 version of Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars (a.k.a. The Circle of Blood) to GOG's catalogue. Users who purchase the high-resolution Broken Sword Director’s Cut will receive the acclaimed original as a free downloadable bonus. Anyone who has already purchased Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Director’s Cut can download the classic for free from the bonus materials.

Broken Sword Director’s Cut with the original version of the game is exclusively available at GOG.com for the low price of $5.99.
I haven't played the original (or my GOG copy of the director's cut) yet. However, I did see a lot of people bemoaning the changes made in the director's cut, so it's great you've managed to do this. Once again, proving that you care, and adding even more value. I'm very glad I picked up all the Broken Sword games when they were on offer. Thank you.
When I saw intro of Director's Cut which was trying to be comix-y, I was irritated to no end, even thou I have never played BS1 - that's how much I loved the cartoonish style of BS2. Now I want to buy the first part again, you ... Money-sucking GoGsters.
Nice, thanks.
Amazing! :D Good work, GOG guys!
Truly amazing, great job in acquiring something even after the release.
That shows real commitment.
So thanks.
I love you guys because you always read the posts and show your respect and regard to the community (even though I'm not a buyer in this case)! Thank you!
Boo and Yah in that order! Exclusivity is a huge bonus, nice work!
That's great! Thanks GOG and Cecil!
Having just looked at the game page, I don't think you play up the exclusivity enough, I'd suggest making it its own bullet point and possibly add something to the header graphic
Thanks GoG for listening to us! You guys are great.
Downloading now :)
So now that this is out of the way, when can we expect another release? :D
Marvellous!

i don't really like the director's cut, so thanks for adding the original as well.
Hurray for GOG And Revolution!

Now, if only The Sleeping Dragon could be playable for all... Playing the first two Broken Sword in a row and getting a blank window upon launching the third is harsh.

I was one of the people whining about preferring the original release, so I want to say: thank you for that, and a belated thank you for the Gobliiins floppy version by the way! Very happy to see them both available here now.
