In exactly 2 weeks (April 6th) it will be my one year anniversary here on GOG. It's been a great year too! I've met many wonderful people and made a lot of new friends that have touched my life in such a positive way that I can't help but smile to think of them. I could easily post a list of over 100 people who make GOG such a wonderful place, and the list would still be incomplete.

I would like to personally give a special thank you to Sage103082, HypersomniacLive, dedoporno, and Cyberevil. These four people have enriched my life by beyond measure in and out of the forums and I am so grateful to know them.

Usually when I do a giveaway I try to keep it simple and easy, I just really enjoy passing along a game to someone in hopes that down the road it brightens their day a little. But seeing how this is one year it should be a little bit more involved, so:

1. This giveaway will run until April 6th
2. You can only enter for yourself and you must redeem the game/s for yourself within 2 days or you forfeit it/them.
3. Who would you like to thank for making the GOG forum a place worth coming too? Why? (No answer no game)
4. Do you have a story about what brought you to GOG in lieu of thanking someone, please tell it.
5. List the top four games you are interested in, maybe you'll get lucky and win them all.
6. I don't usually do a rep requirement, but you must have a rep of +50 or more. Exceptions can be made.
7. Remember to treat others as you want to be treated.

If there is only one game you want from the list you can get an extra entry for it by just listing it by itself, but you miss out on the chance of winning multiple games.

LIst of Games:
1. Wasteland 2 Digital classic edition
2. Legend of Grimrock 2
3. Return to Mysterious Island
4. Vangers
5. The Labyrinth of time
6. Tetrobot and co.

8. Shadowrun returns
9. Pixeljunk Shooter
10 Myst masterpiece edition
11 Red Faction
12 Mark of the Ninja special edition
13 A story about my uncle

I remember when you were just a puppy!

Not in, but what a wonderful day!

Big rough and tumble Sacchys has done for me than I could mention to help me feel at home here and valued and known. He introduced me to some good music. He talks to me. Good stuff.

Happy year-versary!
Congrats on nearly-a-year, trentonlf! Thank you for helping to make these forums so awesome. Not in.

I'm going to be unoriginal and thank, as you have, HypersomniacLive.
I should also thank someone none of you likely know, a hiker and photographer out of Arizona, who retweeted a GOG tweet in September 2013. For me, it's been downhill ever since. :)

I raise my glass to another year! :)
I'm in. +1 and thanks. :)

I would like to thank TinyE and some of the others I joke around with for making this place awesome.

No real story really, i think I searched for an old game once and one of the links was to gog. I was hooked upon my first purchase.

Top four games

1. Wasteland 2.
2. Shadowrun Returns
3.Myst
4. Majesty Gold HD.
Happy 1 year! Crazy to think you've only been here a year. I feel like it has been longer. You fit right in ;-)

I'm in for Wasteland 2. It looks pretty great. I remember following it on Kickstarter and the funny video the founder made using the kid as the big game studio executive lol

I'll have to thank Xyem. He hosted his weekly giveaways and really helped build the forum community for me. He would share about his personal life and only had nice things to say. It is hard to choose just one, Thespian, Ian, Momo, and K_1269 also get honorable mentions. They all helped build the community for me here and got me posting.

I could go on, but these will always have a special place in my heart.

I found GoG because I mistyped Google lol. I had been looking for a place to get Imperialism 2 and Alpha Centauri. I had to wait a little for the Imperialism titles, but it was well worth it :-)

P. S. IAmSinistar as well. No forum is complete without tracking :-P
Wow, only a year? It seems you've been a forum fixture and gift-bomber for a lot longer. Not in, but just wanted to give you a +1 and kudos for the giveaway - and to remind you that I haven't forgotten your gifting shenanigans during the last sale. Thanks once again, but I'm still going to have my vengeance. :P
Not in, but amazing list of videogames to giveaway. +1
Good luck everyone.
I'm pretty sure you had to pay Judas at least thirty pieces of silver to make him forge your registration date. No way is it a year!
And what a year. Congratulations. The forum would certainly be the worse without you.
Congrats, and that's an impressive giveaway. In my imagination you would have just offered 17 copies of Mark of the Ninja. But the real list is probably better. Also less imaginary.

Technically I've been here longer and occasionally haunted some of the game forums, but a much more recent convert to the general discussion forums.

The thing that originally brought me to gog was a note on a game new site (pcgamer?) that there was this crazy site giving away fallout and ultima 4. And while it's not what you asked, the thing that's really made me enjoy the forums once I found my way here is the positive vibe and friendliness. So much of the internet is about rabid arguing, and aside from the few rare personal spats, that's not the prevailing mode here.

Anyway, that was a long-winded not in (I don't qualify anyway, so it's hard to claim it's pure magnanimity), and a big +1. You've been one of my favorite folks here, and it's a great list, so a very happy bgogday to you!

Ironically I've probably only spent 20 minutes going back and messing with either Ultima IV or Fallout, but I've spent a lot of money and time on games here. So between that promo and double insomnia, they clearly have figured out ways to hook me.

You have time to get your rep up before the giveaway is over, it is 2 weeks away still ;-)

Hiya,

I wish to give thanks to xckx who has given many games back to random players.

I cannot recall exactly which game brought me to GOG but many of the classic games I loved in the 1980s or 1990s,- Baldur’s Gate 2, Fallout 2, master of Orion 2 can all be found in GOG . Those games have strong nostalgic value for me and I am grateful to GOG for collecting all of them in one place.

I’m in for :
1) Wasteland 2 Digital classic edition
2) Shadowrun returns
3) Legend of Grimrock 2
4) Mark of the Ninja special edition

Have fun!
Congratulations on the year! Thank you, +1, I'm in.

Who would you like to thank for making the GOG forum a place worth coming too? Why?

Besides you of course: tinyE and pimpmonkey always have me cracking up. Thank you guys for the comedy.

Do you have a story about what brought you to GOG in lieu of thanking someone, please tell it.

I was interested in buying The Witcher 2, when I read somewhere that it was being sold DRM-Free (a term wholly unfamiliar to me at the time) from this website. I couldn't resist a company with such an honest and trustworthy demeanor. Also, they were giving free copies of the Fallout games at the time, so I couldn't say 'no'.

Top four picks:
1. Wasteland 2 Digital Classic Edition
2. Legend of Grimrock 2
3. A Story About My Uncle
4. Memoria

Ha! True. But I'm trying to pick and choose and not just go in on everything. In part because the backlog is big (esp on Steam), and in part that I've already been gifted here pretty generously (3 received to one give? Though I'm trying to convert a few libe items to codes - not sure how that works with unbundling).

Mostly it's kinda fun just to participate vicariously. But Tetrobot and Shadowrun have been very tempting in this week's bundle, since I gifted away the copy of Shadowrun I bought in insomnia, and $10 for 3-4 games I'd be interested in playing isn't too shabby. You know, if I hadn't already spent 3 month's gaming budget in the insomnia sale ;)

Anyway, I'll stop digressing. Rambling bump!
I would like to enter for Legend of Grimrock 2

my thanks to Fever_Discordia for making GOG forum a nice warm place!

what brought me here was that I was studying for my final exams during my university years. I was looking for a short and simple game to help dealing with the stress, which somehow brought me here. And the game I bought was Sensible Soccer 2006 lol

Big +1 Happy anniversary! Not in. There are so many good people on this forum I wouldn't dare try to list them in fear that I'd forget even one of the people that has been above and beyond generous to me, and everyone else here in their generosity towards giving away game keys, advice, and friendship, so again I say thank you to you, and everyone else that has made this board what it is.
