You start (wake up?) in a prison cell. There's a time indicator in the GUI. You can try getting out and, depending on the time, you may find a flying robot sentry that would sound the alarm (and kill you?). If the fellow is not there, you can try to find your way out (you can even enter some other cells). Outside, and again depending on time, you face another similar challenge where you either die or run away. Now the game goes batshit crazy (as far as I was concerned - I didn't know English that well back then) after that and my memories of it are hazy but I distinctly remember a room with a picture of a woman (monalisa?) that would keep looking at you. Needless to say, I never managed to finish it - I doubt I even managed to clear more that a handful of screens/rooms.
Other tidbits - there seemed to be a timer where you died after a set time unless you did some things to extend it (eat or drink something perhaps). The game played in 2d isometric/sidescrolling, 4 colors. I seem to remember a simple adventure-like interface with 'look' and 'use' buttons or something. One other thing - the inmate you control? he was ugly. Very ugly.
These few details are all from memory and I am sure I got something wrong there. Remember that these are the memories stored by an 8/9 year old and retrieved by a 27 year old.
That game bullied me a lot (I used to like weird and difficult games at that age :) ). I really want to find it and get my revenge.
Help very appreciated.
EDIT: Forgot to mention platform - it ran on DOS. CGA/EGA stuff.
