GameRager: Yay!

What did you pay for the coat? Got a good deal I hope?
Unfortunately, no. I'm a big guy, so it cost me $160 for my size. It's quite expensive, but it's really a necessary evil if I want to get hired in the teaching field. At least it's sturdy and stylish - this thing should last for years.

What? No, officer, of course I didn't interrupt her. She seemed busy.

Well that's not too bad....at least you didn't break the 200 dollar mark. :)

Yep! And a lot of them do. Ugh, clothes can be expensive >.<

How have you been?

Ok for the most part. 2 months ago my doctor gave me my meds scrips(mental meds) but because of a new insurance law requiring pre-authorization for certain meds and no generics available I had to wait 1 week for pills about 1 1/2 months or so ago until they got generics in. I couldn't get the name brand stock they had at the time I tried to have it filled also because again they needed authorization and the doc couldn't be gotten ahold of for love or money by either the pharmacy or me.

Luckily after this latest doctor visit I got him to call the pharmacy ahead of time, and he also gave me sample packs of my meds to tide me over in case of any insurance authorization/pharmacy hiccups. :)

Oof, that's an awful feeling when y'can't get the meds you need. I'm glad you cleared that up!
Quick, someone convince me not to ask for/buy another gog.......convince me to play what I already have. For the love of GOG, someone help me!
Bleeding Prezi apparently just lost the bleeding presentation I spent two bloody hours on, despite having told me it was bleeding autosaving every five minutes. I have an hour commute tomorrow morning and I have to get up at 5:45am. It is now 10:30. When I finish my presentation I still need to write a test and finish filling out three application forms. My life is not going well tonight.

Sorry to hear that, my rodent friend.

Any good news on your front then, or all bad?

The rest is awesome. I love teaching, I'm glad I picked this profession (just wish I could get done with student teaching so I could get PAID to teach), I'm finally managing my finances like a competent adult and saving a hefty nest egg, my teachers love me, my students (seem to) respect me, my coworkers like me, and I am thoroughly enjoying Ravenor, by Dan Abnett, and Kingdoms of Amalur: The Reckoning. If I could manage my time better and get some sleep, things would be golden! How 'bout you? :D

Oh, and I stumbled across "The Circle of Life" song planning my unit and included the song as my interest catcher. Got a tear in my eye listening to it - Disney practically was my childhood. Disney and Legos.

Huh. Prezi didn't lose everything. Just the last hour and a half or so. Dammit.

As said above I want to ask people to buy me more games(like i've done before) but want to try to curb that for a bit(at least until they go on sale and I can get a better deal) while I play the stuff I do have.

I also have to(cuz of OCD and also not remembering which titles i've backed up) back up my entire GOG catalog, my GG catalog, a few amazon games, and a few impulse titles. Some I have backed up already but the versions of the installers may have been updates or changed so i'm doing everything. That and search the house to find all the used console games I bought and haven't played but left around the house so I can gather them in one place.

This is helping: Beethoven

Of course Beeker does it good too: Meep meep meep

5 more courses, and I am done with university... A mix of Computer Science and Software Engineering...

Honestly, I still don't know if I made the right decision, I love developing stuff, but I also love producing music. And I've done nothing serious on both fronts, so I can't say which one I'm better at... dammit!

Why not use your degree to make computer generated synth music with a new style or some such? :\

I've been thinking about it, since most of the stuff I do is either Trance or Downtempo (or something in between, depending on my mood). I can also try and do music for games

The problem is that I don't know if my parents will ever support me in the decision. They kind of expect that I start making money as soon as I graduate in June, and we're all aware that making money through electronic music these days is very, very hard.

Find a part time or entry level job in your field, and do the musak stuff on the side. Then if it takes off switch to musak full time.....or go full time serious bzns work if the musak route tanks. Either way you'll be set.

All I know is DON'T give up on your dreams. I've seen what it does to people(my parents, relatives, etc).

Ye, that's exactly what I've been planning. Anyways, waiting until the 29th, this month, for Windows 8 Consumer Preview to be released, so that I could start working on my thesis. Once I'm done with it, I'll have to make the great decision of staying here in is POS country and do Masters studies in the only viable university, or leave the country and also leave my girl :( and go to some Western / Northern European country and do the Masters studies there, hoping that I'd still be able to keep the relation ship with my girl healthy.

Dammit, again! :)
