In fairness multiplayer has never really been a thing on GOG, so one doesn't need to look far to see why... but there is a much bigger fan base on GOG that what we see on these forums. We are but a fairly small fraction.

True, but I'd still think multiplayer oriented people will generally favor other platforms. If I were a multiplayer kinda gamer, I wouldn't think of GOG as my primary gaming service.
