Hi there, people.

I am trying to compile a list of the"Blitzkrieg" games and games using its engine - and like to know which one I missed. As you might know, Nivel "sold" its engine to a number of developpers, and used different sale network, so it is difficult to find them all. And I would like to know if I missed any.

So far, I know of :

- Blitzkrieg

The first one of course, with a German, a Anglo-American and a Soviet campaign, and some Polish / French / Italian troops thrown in. The classic, fun to play and replay. 13/20

- Blitzkrieg, Burning Horizon

A "Rommel" campaign, from France to, well, France. High quality maps (better than the original) with quirks. Also adds "stand alone" missions with the Japs. 14/20

- Blitzkrieg, Rolling Thunder

A "Patton" campaign, where you even get to fight the French in North Africa or in option the SOviet in Prag. Lots of "stand alone" missions too. Overall better than the original, but very slightly below "Burining Horizon" 13/20

- Blitzkrieg, Green Devils

Two campaigns : Panzer company and German Para campaign. Just as good as burning horizon, but little new contents except maps. 14/20

- Great Battle of WWII : Stalingrad

A total conversion of the engine with only the battle of Stalingrad and the battle a little before, with all the units / buildings / whatever redrawn, a new "more realistic" rules (no infinite infantry, "faster" airplanes for instance). Overall much, much harder, and very good. 15/20

- Blizkrieg - Mission Barbarossa

Large modification of the engine of Blitzkrieg, with muc larger map (x16 compared to normal Blitzkrieg) realistic range (you tanks can fire through half the map, which is much longer - so infantry is not the best anti-heavy tank weapon anymore), and a very good AI (or more accurately a very well scripted AI). Very enjoyable to play, although difficult. 15/20
Very hard to find - you will have to pay an high price on Amazon. Also the last game I ever pirated, back then.

- Blitzkrieg - Mission Kursk

Same engine as the previous one. Even harder to find - you will have to pay an even higher price on Amazon. Never played it.

- Talvisota : Icy Hell

The Winter War. Impossible to find. If someone knows where to find it now (in English, not in Finn or Russian), I will probaby buy it.

- Blitzkrieg II

The follow-up, with a Pacific campaign against the Japs. Overall more "arcade" than the first one, but at least artillery is not all powerful anymore. More maps are "thematic" - infantry only, light tanks only, ... so it sometimes feel as a puzzle. Overall very easy, though.
11/20

- Blitzkrieg II - Fall of the Reich.

An extension which focused on the last combat of 1945. Hard as hell - so unfair you must in general game the maps to win. Not very good. 09/20

- Blitzkrieg II - Liberation

Not played. Any good ? Or is it "Fall of the Reich" like.

- World War One

Blitzkrieg in World War One. Expect to see French armor from the Battle of the Frontiers onward, lots of German tanks from the Battle of the Marne, completely static AI, and a fully motorized Russian army from the onset of the war. Also, one artillery and some patience will win to war. To avoid absolutely. Grade <08/20, under which I cannot grade 'cause I cannot make the difference between so bad I don't play and so bad I don't play.

- Cuban Missile Crisis

Blitzkrieg during a nuclear winter after everyone blew up everyone. A "strategic" layer where you produce troopsand send them to enemy production plants / airport / oil fieldbefore "conquering" them on the battlefield. Lots of sides (French/German, Anglo-American, Soviet, Chinese), but most maps except the cities are much too small and completely unfair to whoever attack. Game gets better when airforce appear. 08/20

- Cuban Missile Crisis - Ice Crusade

A stand-alone expansion to Cuban Missile Crisis - mostly more of the same game, but the maps are much more clever and "fair", making the game reach its true potential. 13/20

Do you know if I missed any ? I read there was a Blitkrieg game on the Spanish Civil War, but never found it. Any head ?

Thank you.
How about the Sudden Strike games? I've always considered Blitzkrieg to be a spiritual successor to the original two Sudden Strikes. Not the same engine but the gameplay is pretty much exactly the same.
Eh.
You missed some over here:

I'm looking for Talvisota too - indeed, it's impossible to find, not even or ebay or something.
There is an English patch, which can be found very easily on the Internet, but that's all about it.

By the way I remember there was even a WWI game using this engine
