Yeah, you probably will. Night Dive is all hype, no delivery.

They have delievered. I don't follow twitter and all my news come from this forum, so I don't know what their hype is about, but they have delivered an interesting bunch of titles to gog, haven't they? As far as I'm concerned, let them talk all they want where I don't listen to them, just keep the games coming.

WRONG. They have brought back System Shock 2 and I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, two highly requested titles that seemed lost in legal limbo, as well as Bad Mojo, an obscure (but supposedly very good) title that also seemed lost.

No matter how much non-sense they may post on Facebook or Twitter, they have already delivered an amazing lot. Their PR tactics don't change anything about these simple facts.

Some people might be angry with them for some of the cock teasing they did last year. The worst seemed to be when were blowing smoke about the LucasArts catalog. This including teases about Grim Fandango, Full Throttle and Sam & Max: Hit the Road. So, you should understand why some people might be apprehensive concerning their latest "announcements" on social media.

Yeah, only gibbeynator accused them of "NO delivery". And that's just wrong and the point that P1na and I responded to. I agree that teasing about games they have possibly not made any progress with is a-holish, though.

If they do not have the legal rights to games then they should let it be and not say a word. They are truly terrible when they do this, almost like they just want additional hits on their Twitter and Facebook page. I am very happy that they worked out deals on System Shock 2 and I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. However when these noted releases are far and few in-between all the cock teasing, it makes their track record look terrible.

As I said, I agree. But just like P1na I don't track them through social channels and judge them by their releases, not the PR stuff. Btw, don't many companies with great products/services have terrible PR? :P

amok: Well... you know.... expect a reboot in 1 1/2 year. Hom3World - the FPS.

JMich: Hm, would you be controlling a person or a ship?
First-ship shooter? No wait, that's FSS, first-person ship? That just sounds wierd.

Cockpit shooter, that sounds short but seems right.

Edit : okay, it doesn't solve the external view ... mmmmh ... dunno

We've been waiting for the Homeworld series forever! The wishlists for Homeworld 1 and Homeworld 2 both are over 13,000! There's clearly a lot of interest to see this series again. I hope GOG can get it someday.

To be fair, from what I saw (and I admittedly wasn't paying very close attention), a lot of the so-called "cock-teases" were just them posting some fan art or an article, and the internet going apeshit and assuming that everything they did was a prophecy about a future release.
(I'm not sure this thread really needed to be bumped as we have

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/no_one_lives_forever_trademarks_filed_by_night_dive_studios )

Plus of course now Gearbox has the rights to Homeworld.

I agree. Their "teases" were basically people who like video games sharing art and articles about games. It was the internet that assumed they were teasing their next release.

Just because I like to link Grim Fandango OST videos on my Facebook profile doesn't mean I'm going to get it released on GOG or Steam.

Indeed. Forgot about that. I was also confused about some of the reactions where people considered even those FB posts an announcement which seemed like regular gamer talk to me. It's a bit like that Half-Life 3 obsession (at least before "Half-Life 3 confirmed" became a meme) I guess. But I think at least sometimes Night Dive do tease their followers knowingly.
Dammit. I thought this thread being bumped meant there was actually going to be some news about it.
Ah well... I shouldn't complain. My discs are still in pristine condition :)
Still, I wish everybody could play it. It is one of those rare games that I have never heard someone say they didn't like.

edit - I agree with tfishell. I think we should leave this thread alone - it is obsolete now. Just pretend I wasn't here.
