real.geizterfahr: I liked this game, but... There are two major problems with it: 1. It's a pretty unknown, (let's be honest) mediocre game and 2. There's no English translation! #1 could be reason enough for GOG to reject it, but #2 is the real show-stopper.
There is a community translation mod and since other games are sold with community patches as well, I don't think it would be a big problem, if people could live with the German voice acting in the background of course, but you could still turn it off, I think.

Edit: I should have read the post above me first, ninjad by three hours, now this is embarassing.

Continuing from this thread's earlier discussion of the game's size: http://www.gog.com/game/wasteland_2_digital_deluxe_edition says 30GB hard drive space required. (And 4GB RAM in the minimum spec.)
Anyone see the sexy new coming soon banner on the front page? Excited...!!!

Too bad the sexy banner is overshadowed by the glaring new GOG design.

I'm not a huge fan myself. I DO like the better quality on the promo / release announcements (the ones that run down the lower left side - New Wacky Wheels etc etc etc). But other than that I don't generally like the "tile" setup of mobile devices.

Also going to have to get used to the obnoxious overlay on the forums (Games Movies Community etc). Again, I liked them as out of the way tiny links, not tile sets made to be finger pressed. The mouse it is a dying I suppose :(

For now we're just copying Steam specs over. They are pretty close to final (I don't think we'll go below 4GB RAM in our specs for instance), though the 30 GB hard drive space is due to Steam's download-and-install calculation. That said, the developer version I have installed now is ~21GB (install, not download size) so it's a big game.

Why is it so big?

Niggles: Why is it so big?
Because it's a big game! That's really the long and short of it. There's no unnecessary space taken up by VA or cinematics, it's just...a lot of textures, maps etc. I'm sure we'll still optimize a bit but it'll be big regardless.
W2's minimum gpu requirement is hd4850... with 4850 I could run crysis on high. Does the game really require this much gpu resource?

Unity issue i imagine?

Only reason i ask is games are getting bigger all the time (20-30GB getting kinda ridiculous imho) hopefully its not wasted space :). (it will be a problem for those bandwidth limited..)

"I could run crysis on high" isn´t very precise. 20 FPS? 30 FPS? 45 FPS? 60 FPS? Constant or very variable?
And the minimum setting of Wasteland II aren´t very precise, too.
They don´t tell you if you´d be able to RUN the game or ENJOY the game at those settings...

...so, in general, you shouldn´t care about offical system requirements other than:
-HDD/ SSD-Space
-Ram needed
-OS-Support

Everything else nearly never mets the actual behaviour of the game!
coming soon….

to a gog near you :) :) :)
