The time has come to relieve the beginnings of one of the best space flight simulators saga ever created.

Wing Commander 1+2 is a pack containing the first two parts of the acclaimed space flight and combat simulator series by Origin. With this bundle you’ll get an introduction to the epic military conflict between The Confederation and the Kilrathi. Although the war between humans and Kilrathi has lasted for 20 years already, you're just making your presence. As a young pilot, straight from the academy, you’ll either become humanity’s biggest hero or the biggest zero as you're posted on Confederation's flagship - Tiger's Claw. With a cinematic approach to the storytelling and great 3D gameplay, the Wing Commander series is a must-have for every self-respecting gamer.
Thank you GOG. Will buy as soon as possible!

thornton_s: Anybody having problems with the games freezing when it detects expanded memory ?
Yup...quite annoying. Anyone have any thoughts?
Does it run via DOSBox or it's from Kilrathi Saga?

Lafazar: No expansions at all.

There is a choice between "Vega Campaign" and" "Secret Missions" when starting WC1, but the game complains that the data is missing when picking "Secret Missions".

WCII also has no expansions as far as I can see.

This is REALLY disappointing. What is the big problem here? Does EA want to sell the expansions separately as DLC or something?
I understand that when last asked GOG were not able to comment on the why of this for other games... I just hope at some point soon they WILL be able to do so... It is awesome that they can release these games, but it does sting a little that other publishers include everything but EA seem unable to do so :/
No speech pack and no expansions? Sorry GOG, no sale.

Someone could make a list of EA games that have no expansions, so some of us could know what to really expect.

Dosbox.

I just hope the timing problem has been fixed, it really sucked having to keep altering the cycles everytime the game got too fast or slow.

Dragobr: a list of EA games that have no expansions
You mean EA games released on GOG without the expansions included (that'd be every EA game so far), or EA games that had no expansions at all?
Fuck yeah! Another two to be scratched off the "abandonware" list and bought legit. Thanks GOG!

Edit: Hold on, where's the expansions? Oh well, wishlisted for now until this defect is fixed.

It might be easier to compile the titles that have expansions included, seeing how this appears to be the route that EA/GOG are going.
I still have both games CD. They came bundled with my first CD reader ... And both still play well ( although finding the correct parameters for dosbox proved quite difficult).

The only reason I'd want to buy it from GOG would be to eventually get the expansions.

This release not including the expansions is thus a disappointment. More than that in fact : what is the point for EA & GOG to show that level of miserliness ( or is it littleness, EA ? ).
Wing Commander 2 has speech, at least in the intro. Still upset about the deceptive game description though.
