We hope you've been busy playing Might and Magic 7, because its sequel is now officially part of our rapidly expanding collection of games!

Might and Magic 8: Day of the Destroyer is a first-person perspective role-playing game and is the last game of the series with such strong ties to its predecessors. Most notably, its engine is based on that of the classic Might and Magic 6, with most of the familiar mechanics remaining, for the most part, unchanged.
The story, closely tied to the previous Might and Magic games and also Heroes of Might and Magic 3, is enthralling and full of exploration, great dialog and puzzles and, of course, is accompanied by a wonderful soundtrack.
Acromage, the card mini-game you should remember from the prequel, is present in the eight installment as well, with a few alterations, and is still as addictive as ever.
The biggest difference between this game and its predecessors is that you don't have to create an entire party right at the start. You're free to recruit new members for your party and change its composition at will. You can even have a dragon as one of your companions.
So if you haven't finished Might and Magic 7 yet, do it quickly (without sacrificing the experience, of course!) and witness the next chapter of the story.
If this is the M&M you could have a vampire chick as a party character i remember spending some happy hours with it and will probably pick it up again. Another nice release, you're on a roll GOG people.

Correct, vampires, dark elves and minotaurs too.
Nice release, but I'll wait for the sale.
I've got a lot (of games) on my plate and this can wait.

Actually i have just been reading about this game and i am sure i have never played it. (My memory is crap.) No idea what game i was thinking of, but this isn't it...still looks like it is worth picking up.
wishlisted, will definitely check out sometime :)

I was hoping for it as well...:)
I know this is kind of OCD of me, but could we please fix it to Arcomage instead of Acromage? I had initially hoped this was just a typo, but it's consistently wrong on both the MM7 and MM8 page...
Never played it, but I'm definitely interested in this game. Wishlisted for now, I'll grab it some day in the near future.
Not bad, though I must admit I was hoping for something a little more exciting after last week's fantastic Battle Isle-bundle. Oh well. I'll probably buy it once I'm done playing ... oh dear, I have seven M&M-games in my account by now and I haven't played any of them yet.
