Whether you bought the game, got the demo in a box of Kellogg's, or haven't even heard of it - here's your chance to visit the Wild West!

Go on a journey to New Mexico in 1881 as one of the six Desperados that are on the hunt for the train robbing "El Diablo." As John Cooper, the bounty hunter engage your enemies in a real time strategy game - think [url=http://www.gog.com/en/catalogue#all_genres/search/commandos/]Commandos but with revolvers and a Wild West setting. Utilize each team member's unique skillset, ranging from carrying Gatling guns or faking a siesta to special equipment like Mia's monkey or Samuel with his love for TNT. Overcome the engaging missions with unique setting and scenery. Challenge the robust AI system which makes each try at a mission a unique experience.

Apart from the enemies, your heroes also have unique gameplay features like Quick Action which lets you bind a series of actions into one button, so you can shoot your enemies "John Wayne style".

So what game made you ride with the outlaws? It's Desperados, we think :)
I nearly missed this announcement, RSS feed is still broken.
Looks pretty cool, I hope gog gets more western games like outlaws and dust: a tale of the wired west
unfamiliar with this game but looks pretty cool! Thanks GOG.

Really? Howso? It seems to work for me.
The last few releases hasn't been to exciting (the last "must buy" was Might & Magic 8), but this is a true classic.

Apart from the fact that SC2 is also available free I do consider SC2 a 'Must have' at least. Awesome game and a true classic.

@Release.
I can honestly say I have never ever seen or played this game before I think, or at least as far as I can remember, and I've been around gaming since tape-decks xD

Guess this passed me by completely :)

Great release, I hope we'll get part 2 after some time.

Anyway, if we talk about western games, how about Mad Dog McCree ? I still remeber it was available on about 87 floppies.

If Alone in the Dark is not exciting, what in this (Good Old Gaming) world is?

ps.
I hope we'll get Robin Hood and Chicago soon, they are similar games to Desperados.

Shivvy: Dust is indeed an awesome game. Who made it or owns the rights? Anyone know?
According to Mobygames.com it was made by Cyberflix Incorporated and published by BMG INteractive Entertainment who "eventually became a short-lived publishing label of DMA Design, purchased in 1998 by Take Two Interactive and then became part of Rockstar Games". So maybe T2 now owns the rights?

I've bought Alone in the Dark, as I used to love it, but for me the game hasn't aged too well (though who knows - when I started playing M&M7 again the graphics was a bit of a let down, and I soon exited the game. An hour later I gave it a decent chance, and now I've been playing it for weeks). My main reason for buying it was that I wanted it in the GOG shelf, and the secondary reason was to support GOG.

I myself despise the AitD series for its clunky interface (never got my char running properly, even back in the old days) and the more than unfair difficulty especially in the second game. You'll need a VERY HIGH frustration threshold for Alone in the Dark.
Looks interesting...Might be a little too challenging to me, though. Need to try Commandos first.
Great game, really great. I spent lots of hours years ago. Unfortunatly, these "hours" are a bit sparse these days, so only wishlisted for now.
Basically it's Commandos in the Wild West. Can't get any better. An instabuy.
I've never played with this game before, but it looks interesting. Maybe I'll purchase soon, but now I've wishlisted it.

It's strange, because the feed doesn't work for me, either. Also, there's no way to surbscribe to the news by RSS on the front page (I have it though).
