Many of you were wondering what the next Atari-Hasbro release will be. Some may have started losing hope after seeing no release yesterday. Well, here's to all of you who pay attention to our site not only on Tuesday and Thursday!

Icewind Dale is one of the best-known role-playing games out there. It is often compared to Baldur's Gate, since both games use the same engine the same mechanics and are set in the Forgotten Realms universe. Today's release a lot more combat-oriented, but that doesn't mean you won't find a compelling story and an abundance of quests here as well. A very cool feature (powergamers rejoice!) is that you can, and should, create an entire party before you start your journey - stats, skills, portraits, descriptions, alignments, everything. Overall, a fantastic cRPG, complete with two expansion packs - Heart of Winter and Trials of The Luremaster.

diegopmc: BTW, GOG you made a grammar mistake. The description of the game reads "Hack and slash with a mix of adventure in it's finest form". It should be "[...] in its finest form". Please fix that, it's really bugging me when I see big companies make mistakes like this. :)

It's not a deal breaker, but it matters. I (and probably others) expect respectable companies to use proper grammar. Besides, why argue against fixing the problem? It's not like this is hard to fix.

Awesome. expected it last week but today is nice too.

will buy it when i finish BG2 (which i already own) and that will happen when i finish PST, Penumbra, Psychonauts.

It's not that anyone is arguing against solving the problem, but there are enough spelling errors on the web site that it'd be really annoying if you post about a different one in every topic, where people are discussing something else that probably matters a bit more than a spelling error on a Polish web site.

If you download the wallpapers for Icewind Dale, you'll see that the filename is idewinddale_wallpapers.zip.

I already have both Icewind Dale games in DVD, but nonetheless is a great addition to GOG's catalog, I recommend it.

Sweeeet! Already insta-bought it and reviewed it, a great deal on a wonderful game and its expansions preinstalled! :D Now, I'm waiting for BG2 and IWD2 to make the GOG Infinity Engine series complete! :)

Instabuy, obviously. Just don't stop at the Black Isle/Bioware stuff, GOG; make sure to get those other must-have RPGs here eventually as well.

TOEE, System Shock, Wizards & Warriors, Ultima, Wizardry, Eye of the Beholder, Dungeon Master etc....the list goes on and these Interplay classics - awesome instabuys as they are - are just a small part of the big picture here.
