Due to the recommendation of PCGamingWiki, I decided to switch to XInput Warper to use my PS3 controller on my PC. The installation went without a hitch, but my controller just doesn't work and I have no idea why (Doesn't help that there is no documentation included). I see the icon on my Control Panel, but the controller doesn't respond.

By the way, I'm plugging it via USB and I had no intention of using Bluetooth. Does anyone have experience with XInput Warper and can help me? If you need more information, just ask.

Thanks in advance.

Were you using BetterDS3 before?

Yes. I know I was supposed to remove it (along with Motioninjoy). Did I miss a step? I mean, it was only an executable.
I believe you have to completely uninstall the Motionjoy driver(s?), uninstalling the program doesn't remove the driver. Here's a guide if needed http://www.motioninjoy.com/wiki/en/help/uninstall.

Chorizo is right, you have to uninstall MotioninJoy.
But I have to say, I've tried few alternatives (including XInput Wrapper) and and I still find Better DS3 the best choice.

Are you using an official DS3? Some clones might have issues connecting with it.

Also, as others have said, make sure any other drivers for the DS3 controllers are uninstalled. You can tell if they are or not by seeing what your computer identifies the controller as. For Windows, look in Device Manager. It'll most likely be under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".

I wouldn't consider Better DS3 a proper alternative since it still requires you have MotioninJoy installed to work. That alone is a point of contention for many.

That's not to say that Xinput Wrapper doesn't have its faults. For instance, the only way you can truly disconnect a DS3/4 from your computer is if you restart the wrapper's service. You can make a .bat file for that, but it's rather tedious to do if you want to switch the order of controllers.
The thing is that I uninstalled it using thiese instructions: http://emulation-general.wikia.com/wiki/MotioninJoy#Cons

And then, I installed the SCP Driver Package (this one seems to have different names).

Now, I'm really wondering if I'm missing something.

Edit: And yes, I'm using an original Dual Shock (the one that came with my console).
