i love legos. i think they're neat and if it was socially acceptable for 32 year old men to play with them in their spare time, i probably would. i don't currently own any legos... er... well... i didn't until today, and i'm not into toy collecting. about two wees ago while we were at target, one of the isle end caps was adorned with boxes of pirate legos, which i haven't seen (or maybe noticed) since the early 90s. so i exclaim to my wife "omg, pirate legos! i didn't now they made these any more, i had such good times with these as a kid!"

i explained to her that i used to play on the floor of my room at night and pretend the nightlight was the moon shining against the sea. and she was like "oh hey thats a cool memory!"

so today she gave me a gift bag with a new beach towel, and two sets of pirate legos.

is she saying "you're a dorky, childish fool" with this gesture, or is she saying "spend the day holed up in your man cave playing with legos and getting baked, you know you want to."

to play, or not to play, that is the question....

It isn't? Why the hell not!

Play!
@fortune_p_dawg:
Maybe she`s saying: "I love you and want to make you happy."?

It totally is. And if someone questions you, just tell them you're an engineer.
Play, play!

This is the reason I'm thinking having a son might be a good idea...

When I went out to visit my brother and his son about ten years ago we couldn't wait for the kid to go to bed so we could play with all of his train stuff.
Why wouldn't you play with it?

There is not even thing one should hesitate on.

But getting stuff from wife for father's day? Is she your daughter as well? :-)

TL;DR

1) If you are a handsome man you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. If not handsome...

2) You are still a man, so do what you want.
As a 43 year old man with multiple LEGO sets on display at my desk, I can tell you for certain, it is completely socially acceptable for a 32 year old man to play with LEGOs in his spare time.

Also, your wife is awesome!
Play, play!
Which pirate sets did you get?

Last Christmas I bought to my son and just few weeks ago I persuaded him to give up on Chima set and instead I bought him [url=http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Soldiers-Fort-70412?fromListing=listing]this.

Who says it isn't? Legos are cool - and you are one lucky dawg to have such a wife!

Yes, and she is also saying, "I love you, you big dork."

Have fun with your pirate LEGOs, you scurvy scallywag!
