Great of you to share this with people as having customization like this is awesome for games and desktop apps alike. I've always been a big fan of devices with lots of buttons and gizmos on them which come with software to customize it all and make it work with just about any application whether the app supports the device directly or not. I'm using a Logitech G600 which is ridiculously programmable via the Logitech Gaming software that comes with it and can highly recommend anyone try out any similar software/hardware as it can greatly improve the gaming experience in many games. Personally I find it kind of addicting. ;o)

DukeNukemForever: I'm using a Logitech V550 and can reprogram my mouse buttons for every program using logitechs own program Setpoint (that option is hidden under advanced settings). I don't know if this also works with other logitechs mices, but thanks to this I can use the horizontal scrolling in my pdf reader for zooming ;-)

Edit: Ah, I should add that it seems you can't reprogram the mouse wheel with Setpoint, so X-Mouse Button control is maybe also for logitech users an interesting tool.
Most if not all Logitech input devices come with some kind of software like this I believe. Anything I've bought from them for years did at least, with varing degrees of sophistication (macros, autorepeat, toggle, etc.). The software that came with my G600 even allows you to write your own script code with the LUA programming language and essentially completely customize the mouse to a ridiculous level, it's pretty awesome.

By the way Duke, I finally got around to installing your latest game which I picked up in November and didn't get around to trying it out until yesterday. Despite all of the negative reviews and comments it's gotten over time I actually had a blast playing it for about 4 hours the other day and cracking up with all the juvenile humour etc. Good to see the Duke on GOG. Hehehe.

Thanks for the advice sounds like a great program i will have to give it a try
Since I don't know if by archiving this would disappear, I necro it a bit as it's a useful piece of info imho.
Another necro to keep it alive. Very useful.
I wonder if this would work in the two first Master of Orion games that are DOS games. Especially the scroll wheel support is absent in them but would be useful.
