ABH20: Freddie's songs have balls, THEY'RE THE ANTHEMS OF VICTORY!
Beat it... just beat it
But really for me Freddie Mecury wrote 2 really awesome songs ... Bohemian Rhapsody and We are the Champions. A lot of the other stuff wasn't even written by Mercury ( like we will rock you, another one bites the dust)
cogadh: Amazing album. Great movie, too (Highlander).
Yesss... Although I will have to get the soundtrack one day as "A Kind of Magic" doesn't have some songs from the movie like "Hammer to fall", "New York, New York" and maybe some others.

"Hammer to fall" is from a different album (The Works), which is pretty good by itself. "New York, New York" by Queen never captured my attention somehow. I watched that movie a long time ago.
Red_Avatar: . Again, I think his life style and attitude got him a lot of extra fame - if you look at the other Jacksons whose music were mediocre at best, it didn't stop them being huge in the US either while they barely registered outside of the US.
The only adult Jackson besides Michael that was huge in the US was Janet. Tito, Jermaine, LaToya and whatever other random Jackson sure as hell weren't huge here. In fact the only things huge about them were the huge career flops they produced. And I wouldn't say that Janet Jackson's album's "barely registered" outside the US. Not amazingly popular , but still enough to have her albums peak with a top 10 position of many album charts outside the US.
