This band is among my favorites of the post 2000 metal bands. They're very inspired by the NWOBHM from the early 80's, like Iron Maiden and stuff.

So this is rather different:

*

'The Birdcage' is an Action-Adventure Music Video Game! A first of a kind music album that is experienced entirely through a video game featuring world renowned artists from Guns N Roses, Evanescence and more!

Based on 'The Beauty and the Beast', you play as Gitta, a beautiful young girl who tries to escape from the ever-changing prison of her capture - Bres. Will you be able to run away?

The game is in fact a full-length Rock music album that is experienced as a fully-fledged video game. Think of a really cool music video you saw once, but now imagine that you're in it, interacting with the environment that changes according to the music.

*

Confirmed for http://groupees.com/mini3 apparently - now on cheapo preorder and also, its only greenlit already (Meaning a DRM free / direct d/l).

*

Trailer on pootube for those that prefer to avoid the schteam alltogether! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EH7RS3ze4JM

*

Figured it was better to post here than the gaming deals thread.

Edit: oh, seems like its an alpha / early access job as it wont be available until Q3 2016 - sorry folks - my bad for not noticing sooner!

Wolfheart's second album, Shadow World just got released. I thought Winterborn was great and was hoping their next album didn't disappoint; it did not.
Someone started a Slayer thread so I just had to hop in here and share some metal:

Iced Earth - Iced Earth
Gonna put this 2 albums as recommendation for every metal head, one of my fav bands from metal days, so underrated. They were kinda always in shadows of Queensryche which i also love very much (until 1997. when DeGarmo left).

Crimson Glory 1986

Transcendence 1988
*annoying hipster voice*
Uh, excuse me... 'metal' is an inappropriate term. We like to refer to it as 'non reflective, malleable, conductive alloy' music. To call it 'metal' is an imperialistic term falling back on 12th century European concepts of weapon making and land stealing.

I prefer Titannica on vinyl. They rock.

Netherbird appear to be hardly known outside Sweden, which is really a shame. I admit I stumbled across them by sheer coincidence myself, but I've been a fan ever since -- especially of this song:

Awesome as always. Thank you for having posted before for me to to catch on it listening.
