After a month of concentrated doses of Borknagar, now spending some time with Ego Fall. A nice mix of Mongolian, Turkic, Chinese vibes and non-cheese metalcore.

Right! I've been a fan of Borknagar since day 1 and own all their albums, but I have to admit that their releases often come with sub par tracks sprinkled in between stellar ones, and as a result albums as a whole aren't always very engaging. Winter Thrice, on the other hand, is Borknagar perfected. I am really impressed that they could pull that off this far into their careers. One of my favorite releases in recent memory.
ALDARIA - Where Reality Ends
Falkenbach - Magni Blandinn Ok Megintiri - Where Blood Will Soon Be Shed
Candlemass - The Prophecy / Dark Reflections
Finally giving My Dying Bride's post post-The Dreadful Hours albums a proper listen. Nothing that truly grabbed my attention after a first spin, though.
Falkenbach - Tiurida - In Flames

I do like the one after The Dreadful Hours called Songs Of Darkness Words Of Light. After that one it went downhill fast
Listening to The Unguided the last few days

Modern Day Outlaw - Movin' On Some Western Metal :P
This is a new band and I like their 90's inspired metal:

PALADINE - Paladine

And the Dragonlance readers among us might recognize the name, as the whole album is inspired by the novels :D
