Someone posted this comment on the neoseeker story that the OP linked to: The thing is, at least from what I've seen, the Indoctrination Theory seems like a credible explanation for what happens at the end of the game while at the same time not necessitating a major revamp of the content that BioWare has already released. All they'd have to do is a little more expansion on Shephard drawing a breath at the end of the "Best" ending, and *boom*, they've got a bridge to Mass Effect 4, or Mass Effect 3: Finish the Fight, or whatever they've got coming next.

Sure, a lot of people are going to get angry, but at least it'll make the ending make more narrative sense.

Annoying thing is, that I never got a drawing breath ending, even though I had almost all single player available resources, save for those guys who cant express emotions. Hell, i united entire f*ing galaxy, went full paragon, and yet I didn't see that ending. Fork you Bioware.

While I'm at it, what are real instructions to get that?

I thought you had to max out your EMS rating (what is it, like, 4000+?) and pick Synthesis.

Edit: According to IGN, you had to have 4000+ EMS rating and pick Destruction. *shrug*

No. Indoctrination theory was just stupid. Classic example of misinterpretation / overinterpretation.

Just checked I had 6480, 3240 effective (50%), the bar was completely green
European release was postponed to 4th. Not that I care, I'm waiting for torrent anyway.

Honestly knowing Bioware I fully expect the "extended" endings will be as crappy as the original but with some added BS to try to address the plot holes / complaints of the original. Something like ...

Peoples complained that all alien species will end up stuck in SOL system with no possibility to return to their planet.... easy... thanks to a dead reaper body they discover a magical prototype FTL drive that allows galaxy wide travels.

Peoples complained about EDI and the Geth dying in the red explosion ending... easy... remove the phrase where kidgod say the red explosion will kill them too.

Peoples complained about the companions appearing inside the Normandy or the Normandy fleeing... easy again... add a scene where Sheppard order its companion and the Normandy to leave.

I really don't understand how the indoc theory got so popular. At first when I heard about it I thought it was an exaggeration to make fun/complain of the ending. And now the are fussed over EA/Bio not taking it seriously. :)

I hope someone makes a video of the new DLC soon. Not really in the mood to play ME3 again.

You know if your only options are those two, Starchild *is* better.
Can't even imagine what would happen if the devs pulled the indoc ending themselves!
