As the Wave II timer ticks down to a zero for the last time, one of the most exciting weeks in the history of GOG.com comes to a close. We couldn't be happier with the series of amazing titles we added to our catalog this week, and we're proud to have teamed up with ©Disney Interactive to finally restore six iconic Star Wars™ games back into the hands of gamers exclusively on GOG.com.

January 22:

January 20:
A long time ago in a galaxy near you, ©Disney Interactive and GOG.com teamed up to bring you the holy grail of classic gaming: six Lucasfilm cult-classics were added to our DRM-free catalog, including three titles which saw their digital premiere on GOG.com. We also made a promise to bring you many more cult-classics in the future and, believe us, we did not forget.

Today, with great pride and joy, we're excited to announce Wave II of Lucasfilm games on GOG.com! Starting right now, six new Star Wars™ classics are available in our DRM-free Lucasfilm/Disney catalog. This includes three amazing titles available, for the first time in digital distribution, exclusively on GOG.com:
Star Wars™: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
Star Wars™: X-Wing Alliance™ - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
Star Wars™ Galactic Battlegrounds Saga - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!

We're also celebrating the DRM-free release of these Star Wars™ games with a 72-hour 20% launch discount:
Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II
Star Wars™: Dark Forces
Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™ II: The Sith Lords™

Just in case you missed your chance last time, you can grab three more Lucasfilm classics for the same 20% discount, until Friday, January 30, at 1:59 PM GMT!
Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™
Indiana Jones® and the Fate of Atlantis™
The Secret of Monkey Island™: Special Edition

Our Lucasfilm/Disney is made that much more impressive today thanks to our team-up with ©Disney Interactive. The 6 new Star Wars™ releases, which include 3 digital premieres exclusively on GOG.com, are barely the beginning. We're not saying more right now, but we know the wait will be worth it for six great reasons - keep watching the front page and stay tuned for more exciting Lucasfilm titles releasing on GOG.com when the timer strikes zero!

Galactic Battlegrounds...? Dark Forces...?! Battlefront?!!! KotOR2?!!!!

Are you trying to bankrupt me on purpose?! I wanted to get X-Wing and X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter too, but I was already poor before I got those four... I'll wishlist them for now.

I have never held Disney in such a high regard... until now. They really deserve a "thank you" for agreeing and selling their games here.

One of my first line of thoughts when Disney got Star Wars was "Ah, shit... there goes any hope for getting their games on gog" But... I was wrong.

cw8: Jedi Knigt 2 and Jedi Academy round 3?
First we need Jedi Knight 1 (or Dark Forces 2, whatever you call it). ;)
This is awesome but... Still no Rogue Squadron :(
One hour ago? Why on one wake me up earlier:)
Thanks gOg !
I've just received newsletter and it's stated that more Lucas/Disney games will be released this Thursday and next week. Sweet!
Funny we get Battlegrounds here but Age of Empires 1 & 2 is nowhere to be seen. I bought Battlegrounds at launch but didn't finish it, went back to AOE2, lol
Amazing stuff - thanks GOG!
me: HELL YES!
CHA CHING (money rolling in onomatopoeia like sound)

some other goggers: nice, but I'll wait for a bigger discount, maybe 95%...
I'll wait for wave 3, 4 or 5 with my personal childhood favorites, possibly the emulated version of the colecovision Star Wars, I'll wait for Star Trek games too, and I wanna play all these at the forecoming GogOS (linux based distribution based on, well, GOG), GOG drm-free controller...
If possible.

:P

X-wing vs. Tie-Fighter, KOTOR2, Dark Forces ... Yaaaayyy! ... And ouch, my poor, poor wallet!
I'm sitting here making happy sounds and the other people in my house have no idea why

THANKS GOG
If only we could get some Star Trek games to balance things out :) Just imagine release day like that with Bridge Commander, Final Unity, Borg, Armada, Elite Force and Away Team.

Yeah. But I really love the lightsaber combat in JK2 and JA. By far the best lightsaber combat in the 2 games in all Star Wars game history. And if you play with some of the total conversion mods, /jaw drops.
Galactic Battlegrounds Saga looks cool. Some people are comparing it to Age of Empires 2 which is cool because I adore Age of Empires 2 (I started replaying it last night infact). But I don't think I want to buy 2 Sci-Fi RTS game at once. So shoud I go for GBS or Infested Planet?
