Stevedog13: Well right at the top of my list of Must See places is Moria.
.
That is very helpful indeed. I was going for an Elf Hunter, but now it sound like I should go Dwarf (or maybe Man) Champion. I may have to go back and reread some of those class descriptions.
Moria is for lvl50+ so yeah, you decide if you enjoy the game a lot sooner. And Moria is huuuuge.....
Don't break a sweat picking your class. Once you've gotten through the starting areas and know your way around / don't read every questline / know the stories told, you'll easily level to 20 in one day if you really want to.
Short class breakdown:
Guardian - the tank. Sturdy, high survivability, rather slow killing solo.
Champion - AE damage in plates. Much lower survivability, will get killed from overzealousness.
Captain - 2hander + pet, support role.
Hunter - bow, damage dealer, rather low survivability, best travel options of all classes.
Burglar - stealth, damage, group support.
Lore-master - caster type, pets, crowd control.
Minstrel - the healer, high survivability, can (and for leveling should) be skilled like an offensive nordic skald.
Moria only classes:
Warden - my personal favourit, high survivability, 2nd tank after guardians, unique combat system.
Rune-keeper - 2nd caster typ, can be backup healer in one fight and damage dealer in the next one.
Though once you settled for a specific class, go and do some fun stuff. Like the
Chicken Sessions. :p
