After VtMB, I yearn for more RPGs with excellent writing, choices and consequences and dialogues. Unfortunately I seem to have played most of the popular games already. This means that Baldur's Gate, Deus Ex (and HR), Fallout (and 2 and NV), Alpha Protocol (good C&C, but I hate the conversation wheel) and Planescape Torment are excluded. Other than Dragon Age (though I hear the C&C in this game is poor), The Witcher 2 and Arcanum (of which I'm about to start a serious, proper playthrough soon), I was wondering if I missed any titles? Throw me a suggestion please.

Ooh I just got it from Vitek. It has choices and consequences too?
KotOR series and Jade Empire?

I dissent, DA:O is basically build around C&C. Many quests boil down to the moral question, "more powerful ally or doing the morally right thing". Additionally, there are many choices that aren't "right". Even the "good guys" have plenty of dirt on them. Many times you will think you are doing the right thing, only seeing that it will bite you in the ass hours later.

DA:O is actually the king of C&C.
Undoubtedly Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic 1 & 2. Great stories (especially the first one) and consequences depending on how you treat your party members and NPCs.

EDIT: Ninja'ed for tarangwydion. :)

NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer - the closest thing you'll get to Planescape: Torment.

Certain people would call it pure incline.

There's some. Characters can become angry if you do some thing that make them so, eg. killing their pets etc. Then that will affect trading values. If they like you eg. if you give them stuff for free maybe, then the prices are better. Stuff like that.

Thanks, but I've played both twice. :P

@DodoGeo hey thanks for mentioning MOTB. I knew I was forgetting something. I've been meaning to play this.

Cool. I'll give it a shot after Arcanum, since I already own both it and DA: Awakening.

You could take a look at The Age of Decadence by Iron Tower Studio (an indie developer). There are a demo available. Wikipedia:

"Set in a low-magic, post-apocalyptic world inspired by the fall of the Roman Empire, The Age of Decadence aims to return to the 'golden era' of RPGs by emphasizing choices and consequences and providing a comprehensive skill set, multiple solutions to quests, and extensive dialogue trees"

Have you played the Geneforge games? I've only played a small chunk of the first one but already I could see a great deal of C&C.

As long as you don't mind average graphics (they definitely get the job done though) then it is a pretty amazing game with an awesome setting.

Cool I bought it from GOG too. Thanks for the suggestion.
On a side note, looks like GOG.com is the only digital retailer of D&D games left.
Good thing I managed to get NWN2: Platinum and Mysteries of Westgate when I did (plus everything was a discount).

Oh and I just thought of another one, The Dragon Knight Saga from Larian.

It even has a cool feature where you can sacrifice XP to read the thoughts of the NPC you are talking to, makes for some interesting C&C interactions.
