Hi,

I am looking for an old game that I used to play but I can not remember the name and I am hoping someone can help me name it.

It was for Windows if I remember right. It was a 3D game set under water on another planet. You controlled a fast submarine in 3rd person and did missions to destroy power stations and other under water targets.

It's not much to go on I know but I hope it is known to someone here :)

Thank you,

Maybe you're thinking of Deep Trouble 2, by CodeBlender Software? It seems to be OS X-only, but I could have sworn that there was a Windows port released for it.
how old is old? have you looked through the catalogue here?

aquanox?

subwar2050?
Sounds like Aquanox to me.

It is neither of those. Those are both 1st person not 3rd. The sub had a sleek style to it and manta-ray or something similar for the name of the sub but I am only 40% sure on that!

No, it was definitely not OS-X game or a port. Though the screenshots from your link are very similar to the game. Just not the sleek ship or the interface I remember :)

Critical Depth?

Nope, it's set on another planet that is mostly water as far as I remember. Far into the future of course ;)

Close, but no. Critical Depth is too arcade style and the game I remember did not have those portals to end the levels. Thanks for trying though :)

That's what Pyron suggested too, though he did not name it :)

A little more info from what I can remember of the game: The power stations were geothermal ones. I think I remember having to reach end zones each level. I seem to remember playing it around the same time I played "Independence Day".

The closest description I can make from the game titles offered here is that it is a bit of a cross between the level style of "Deep Trouble 2" with the sub style close to that of "Critical Depth". I do remember being able to jump out of the water like "Critical Depth". Also I think I remember having to shoot land targets on beaches from the water but I could be wrong on that one, it was many years ago :)

This is really bugging me with my OCD now! I have been up for hours looking through many lists of games including DOS ones in case I am mistaken about it being a Windows game, it's now 5:45am! lol

I am going to give up looking for today and go get some sleep now. Thanks guys for all the suggestions so far, it's good to find a community online that is willing to help so fast :)

Have you tried looking through Moby Games? Chances are good it's on their site.

Submarine Titans maybe?

Perhaps another from this list of submarine games?

Fantastic! Found it in the list you provided. Many thanks :)

"Tigershark" is the game's title :)

I was right about the year even though I did not mention it here. Though I did say it was about the same time as "Independence Day" which came out the same year :)

I was wrong about the name of the submarine, no manta in it's name, but I did say I was not sure about that at all, 40% I think I said ;)
Not on another planet but is in the future so I was partially right there.

Anyway, got it's title now. Many thanks to all that tried to help :)
Shame it's not on GoG :P

Glad I was able to help! I was starting to think you had given up on finding it. :-)
