My girlfriend and I are looking for a a co-op RPG available on GOG to play via LAN. She's not exactly an avid gamer, so something like Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale may be a bit too much for her. I guess at this point something fairly simple and easy to pick up would be ideal. Does anybody here have a game that might fit the bill?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe Sacred? Or Divine Divinity?
Thanks for the reply. Divine Divinity is only listed as single-player and a google search didn't say otherwise.

Sacred definitely looks good, though. I'll check it out.

Did Fallout Tactics have multiplayer? Can't remember right now, but if it does, I think it would be great for you. Although, the RPG elements are quite limited there.

It does have multiplayer, and its original cd-case says "Online co-op" in the features list, but there is no co-op (it was cut because the game ended up being rushed, I think), only deathmatch, capture the flag and assault. Maybe there was some sort of "collect batteries" mode as well, but I only ever played deathmatch.
Baldur's Gate II, I believe.

Someone who's smarter than I am could tell me if BGTutu lets you play through BG 1 + BG 2 together in multiplayer. I would *think* so, but I don't know.
Wouldn't someone who is "not exactly an avid gamer" be slightly shied away by older game... erhm, appearance?

And sorry for not having anything to really contribute, I think people already mentioned the games here on GOG that are RPG, good and actually allow lanplay.
This one's not an RPG, but I think Commandos has co-op. I've never tried it, but I imagine it could be tons of fun planning and commencing organized stealth attacks in unison.
Lionheart is also RPG playable in co-op. Its pretty fun actually.
Neverwinter Nights.... it's a good introduction to the D&D universe and not too complicated. Huge game with the expansions too & even bigger with user made content.

I will go with NWN too. There are a lot of modules out there that you can download. You'll find something to your liking.

I recommend your g/f play a caster class though. Tank/DPS classes are probably going to be too dry for her.

Vampire Bloodlines Redemption has a mod to play coop.

I haven't tried myself. but if you use this mod The Age of Redemption for Vampire the Masquerade Redemption, you should be able to play single player campaign in coop mode.
