Ok, guys, I have LIMBO (steam) here, waiting for a good computer to be downloaded in. Here are the rules:

Write a scary sci-fi/fantasy short story:

The game is filled with metaphors and subtle (as well as not-so-subtle) horror. To enter, you have to write a similar story that can make my skin crawl. i will be judging them based on pacing, its use of metaphor, and how all the separate elements of the story (character motivation, foreshadowing, callbacks to previous dialogue, etc.) come together to form a horrifying ending.

10+ Rep

Must want the game for yourself or your friend (you can enter for somebody else, or say you are entering for a steam friend)

That's it! The competition ends 1st August. Good luck!

NOT IN (Already have it) Good luck to all who enter and +many to Lester for the awesome concept :)
Not in. I already have it for PS3. It is a good game. I will read the short stories out of curiosity.

Good-Luck to all the participants!

REDVWIN
I'm also not in since I already own it
But a huge +1 for you for this nice GA :D
Hope there'll be some stories coming up ;)
Not in, as I already own it, but +1 for the giveaway, and I hope the game finds a nice home. It really is a great game.
Thanks for this giveaway!  :-)

I already own this nice little game, so not in, but +1 for your generosity!  :-)
Hmmm... I must be the only one on GOG who doesn't have it yet.

Tell me LesterKnight, does it have to be a story, or can it be something that really happened?

Since there are no participants, I'm tempted to join, but...
_ It's not the type of game I usually play so I'm not sure I'll end up liking it. Though the people in this thread seem to recommend it, so I guess it should be good.
_ My story was one of the most scary things I've heard, but only because it was described with graphic detail by the person whom it concerned. So I'm not sure it'd be what you're looking for. It's not pleasant. And it would have no metaphor, foreshadowing or similar. In fact it's more effective told and I'm not sure if having it written would properly convey it. It's also a bit personal, and I'm not sure how scary it would be without background info.

But plenty of time till the deadline, so hopefully you'll get entrants. Bump.

I don't have any of those. Could you please tell me how to get them. Do I have to create "Add me" threads in their General Discussion forums?

Thanks for posting! Let me clear this up for you, and anybody who wants more info:

It has to be a fictional story. No real-life horror.

If you have a steam account, all you need to do is send a friend request on steam. Find a profile (easiest way to do so is by looking at game reviews on the game's Steam page), go to their profile, send a request, and if they accept, you're good!

Cheers! Hope we get participants. I could use a good story too.

Seems like a cool game but I'm really bad in writing stories (especially if I had to do it in a foreign language). So I'm not in.
Good luck all and thanks for this giveaway!
Great giveaway! Not in. Thank you for your generosity, +1.
