When you think about it, it's incredible he even managed to survive so many decades of that Rock'n'Roll lifestyle.

Motörhead are, and will remain, one of my favorite Rock/Metal bands. Say about them what you will, but they managed to maintain a consistent style and quality over so many decades, which can be said about very few other bands. Plus, it's impressive how active they were during the last few years, despite their advanced age and health problems.
Damn.

R8V9F5A2: Yeah, I just read about it reading the morning news.
Motörhead was one of the very first bands to introduce me to good music.
The Metal Gods are gradually leaving us.
When these guys are all gone what will we be left with ?
I really feel like playing some Brutal Legend right now.
We'll be left with all of the good music they've released throughout the decades, and in the case of Motörhead, that's a lot of music. Besides, there's actually many incredibly good young(-ish) bands out there. Just don't expect to hear them on the TV or radio, so you have to do a bit of digging of your own to find them.

And does Lemmy have a cameo in Brütal Legend? I know Ozzy does. Still haven't played the game, even though I own it here.
I've never been much of a fan of Motörhead's music. But the band, and Lemmy esp. sure are legendary. And deservedly so.

R.I.P.

Yes, he has. Pretty cool one, too.

R.I.P. Lemmy

Although I listened to a bit of Maiden before Motörhead, his music finally made me a metalhead.

Gonna put on my Motörhead shirt, put some Motörhead in the CD-player and head to work. And this evening I'm gonna have some Jack'n'Coke and pissed off neighbours! :)

This kind of sums me up too, I love some of their songs (Ace of Spades is an absolute classic) but was never a huge fan. That being said I was lucky enough to see then live when they supported the Foos at Hyde Park. Unsurprisingly, they were awesome.

You will be missed.

1. Appearently people forgot Motohead's former Drummer Phil Taylor died aswell this year (No offense to anyone)

2. And you want to know who I am surprised has not died yet? Christopher Tolkien is still alive and he is 91. I'd ne amazed if he lives to be 100, but than again I thought Christopher Lee was going to be make it to 100.

I'm not a metal fan, but Lemmy was a personality even to me.
I guess I'll replay Brutal legend again.
