The article and pic bring up the general topic of men not acting well toward women and I simply commented on that. It runs no deeper. I had no other thoughts beyond what I expressed.
When you are responding to a specific article and example cited, you should probably be informed on them and realize your comment will be taken in context with them. I repeatedly said I was not mad at you or calling you names, I simply found your very lecture focused post to be annoying to some degree since you were lecturing all of us without even looking at what we are commenting on.
I'm not in a bad mood, nor is me raging about the article for 10 minutes something you need to lecture me on either, thanks.
By the way, out of curiosity since you keep hammering on me about "context" I finally went and clicked the link and looked at the pic, etc.
That is a fucking "article" full of "context" Are you fucking serious?!?!? I mean, really you have just got to be shitting me. That little caption isn't an article and there was no deep context I was missing there. WTF??? LOL!
I'm sorry man but that is just too fucking funny. I was right in the first place and that just confirmed it. I already had all the context I needed.
As to your original points in the OP:
1.) No, instinct cannot be changed however behavior can certainly be controlled. For example, the asshole who is probably married (statistically speaking of course) and spun around to gawk at the woman in the pic could most certainly have controlled his urge to behave like an idiot in public but he chose not to. He had a choice. Are you really going to argue that all men in that situation are helpless victims of their instinct and can do nothing but what that guy did? If that was true there would probably be no fat men in America since they'd all get so much exercise spinning around in public constantly.
2.) Women do NOT do the same thing with anywhere near the same frequency that men do. How often do we see women behave this way versus men? There is a difference and it is quite significant. I don't remember ever seeing a woman do a spin like that although surely it has happened I would think. I've seen guys do that or similar countless times. The picture linked here is nothing unusual really. It is not some shocking thing we've never seen before. On the other hand, a picture of a woman doing this would be something we do not see as often and I'd venture a guess that is because it simply does not happen as often, not nearly as often.
Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. We are NOT the same and neither are all of our behaviors the same across the board. In this case the men who do what the guy in the photo did could stand to have a little more class, don't you think?
I'd really love to know if that guy is married. The odds would be that he is.
