I just finished the first episode of this new reboot, and my verdict is: its GREAT. Its everything a new KQ should be. The first hour is somewhat action-packed and qte-heavy. But for the next 5 hours when youre wandering the forest, trying to decide how youre going to spend your last gold coin and tip-toeing around death with an inventory full of items.... yeah this is KQ. Its also as charming as can be, with a large cast of characters and excellent voice acting (not just your average good, its extremely good featuring christopher lloyd as old graham, and wallace shawn from the princess bride). And better still, it manages to tell a rather full satisfying story about graham's journey to become a knight in one episode. It wraps up nicely and almost stands on its own as a game... while also leaving me desperate to hear more from the world theyr putting together.
So without further ado, to celebrate these successful beginnings i want to give away FOUR copies of the first episode on steam to would-be adventurers. To enter simply post here and a drawing will be held 1 week from today. In the (unlikely) event that the game becomes available on gog before the drawing, then gog keys will be an option. Feel free to also post thoughts on adventure games youve played lately.
Adventure onwards!

EDIT: entry is now closed and winners will be announced soon, be sure to PM me your steam name if you win.

And the winners are:

I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Not in. +1 thanks.
Wow, that's a great giveaway ! Count me in ! Thanks.

My last adventure game was (I think) The Blackwell Epiphany and it was really good. The perfect closure for a great series. It doesn't stray from the others games in the series but all puzzles were logical and well thought.

A Wolf Among Us, though a bit light on the gameplay size, was a great adventure. People who enjoyed The Walking Dead should give it a try.

In the future, I'll have to play Technobabylon that I bought here as well as some classic Lucasarts that I love (Sam & Max and Indiana Jones 4). By the way, we are still waiting for Day of the Tentacle and Indiana Jones 3 to arrive on GOG !!!

Anyway, thanks !
Not in but thanks for the giveaway.
Thanks so much for the chance, I'm in!! +1 <3

I seem to be the only person in the world who loved Cedric from KQV. I thought he was adorable, and apparently everybody else thought he was annoying. I'm playing "The Whispered World" at the moment, and I like the main character's voice...even though apparently everyone else thought it was annoying as well. I seem to like what other people don't. XD
I'm in. would like to try that myself and a wear weird hat at a same time. =)

Have not played any adventure games recently, but this has reminded me to restart broken age, which is a GREAT game.
Eh, why not? I'm in.

As far as adventure games goes...I haven't really played any recently. =/
Thanks for this great GA, I'm in

The first adventure I played (and incidently the latest also ;) was Zak McKracken on the C64 but I never finished it yet, I did find that wretched chainsaw fuel though ;) I was so young I really didn't get what was going on but my views on Hare Krishnas and "Nose Glasses" was influenced by this game to this very day ;)

If your backlog is redshit, you should see a doctor.

I'm tempted to be in, but won't play it for a while. So not in. But I do need to play this one!

i have no idea what you are talking about >.>
Count me in for KQ please!

The last adventure game I really enjoyed is Memoria. It's not a challenging title by the standards of the old school adventure games, but it succeeds at telling a compelling epic fantasy, more than its predecessor Chains of Satinav. It's also nice for fans of the DSA-verse, especially if you played the Arkania games. I really enjoyed it. It's probably Daedalic's best adventure.

You were talking about your "back list" which is also called a "backlog." And you missed two letters in Redshirts and spelled it "redshit."

So if your back log (poo) is red shit (bloody poo), you should see a doctor.

Futile attempt at humor, I suppose. I'm told it's endearing. :-P
