PC gaming was basically my life during 1996-2005 until I had to grow up. But damn those were some awesome times. Looking at this site, I think I'll be happily reliving many of those moments. Thanks GOG and everyone involved. I've bought Torment and Undying so far, Longest Journey probably next. (I already own them actually, it's just so cheap and easy to buy stuff here.) Wonderful idea, this site, thanks again for making these games accessible again to me and a whole new generation.

What does growing up have to do with giving up games? I don't plan to, I'll game happily until the day I die.

Oh, and welcome.
Welcome and have fun! :D

Welcome to GOG, be sure to buy Sacrifice. It's one of the best games ever made, but unfortunately, one of the least known as well...

Also, check PM for a copy of Torchlight ;)
Looks like Judas had gone back to his part time job as a fertilizer artist. :P

Oh and to the OP, I grew up once, worst experience of my life. Fortunately it didn't take.

I basically was PC gaming before there were PC's & is still kicking pixels (note to self: get gogs Duke Nukem 3D)so I personally don't see gaming as something under the "Put away childish things" heading

Welcome & enjoy your stay

The "PC" I was referring to was a Commodore Vic20 & the game that hooked me was a game that was basically a generic "deathstar alley" run type game that my dad, my brother & I spent days programming from a computer magazine the name escapes me though. aah, the days when an audio tape was an accepted backup media

Me too, but I don't think he actually meant it like that. He said that PC games were "basically his life" until he had to grow up. This I can relate to. I still game, and also plan to keep on gaming for the rest of my life, but I have a job and a family now, so I no longer stay up all night playing something for "just one more hour" like I did when I was a teenager. So yes, I'm still a gamer, always will be, but gaming definitely isn't "basically my life" anymore.

Mine was the Atari 2600 though my brother had a Colecovision. My 1st actual pc was the apple//c and I spent countless nights up playing Aztec. What good, if somewhat fuzzy, memories.
Just because you got older doesn't mean you had to give up gaming. Glad to see you found this site and are back into it now though!

Welcome to the site. Stick around a few months for the winter sale and your mind will be truly blown!
Never too old for video games!

I still play, even if I don't put as much time into games as I used to. Real life, work. . .all the annoying stuff that needs to get done gets in the way.

Strangely, the games I play have changed. Used to spend hours at a shot on platformers, action/adventure type games, RPGs, and fighters. Now, I'm more into puzzlers, strategy and simulation/building type games, with occasional short visits to games I used to play. Still into RPGs, but not the days long binges I used to have.
