....the game cases these companies are using these days are flimsy as hell. This isn't something I normally even notice, however I tore open my copy of the Master Chief Collection and Dragon Age Inquisition to not only find the cases and game art pock marked and warped.

I'm sure getting anal in my old age of 31 years.
What?
What?
That sucks, you should upload a picture to show exactly what the problem is.

I'm surprised they aren't using these kind of cheap cases:

Because at 60-ish+ bucks per new game, that totally doesn't leave them any room to invest a few cents per copy in decent game cases. Nope. Plastic is a rare, high-quality material, didn't you know? :|
Yeah i am guessing it's the same crap like the 3ds boxes that are so "cleverly" designed they only use 50% of plastic and 50% holes. The result is when you put them in bags or something they can get damaged. I am also 31 so maybe it's an age thing but I don't like flimsy boxes that get easily damaged....

those things
bloody hate them i can accept them on cheap dvd's
but on a game i just payed 50 or 60 for ? fuck that
They cut out most of the plastic to save on shipping costs.

I have some cases with much less plastic than that.

At first glance I expected something regarding the performance rather than the box quality :D

Retail boxes are no longer what they used to be, it's all rush rush these days.

Perhaps you're applying a little too much force when opening them? I've certainly not seen any such damage on my ones. The only thing that irks me is that the disc is on the wrong side of the case. Instead of being on the inside back cover, they're on the inside front cover =/

It's funny, back a few years ago I wouldn't have noticed or even cared but now I notice every detail.
