If you support her you'll be supporting GOG in the end... and if this game goes well a new GK is likely to come....

This looks like a decent kickstarter to support if you can ;)
I've added it to my reminder, I won't be backing it unless it gets down to the wire and needs more pledges. I'd like to help out, but I really, shouldn't be backing anymore projects.
Now is this a good or a bad sign that they have full or only 18 days left to collect $51,842 ?

It's not doing as well as it could, if that's what you're asking. But it looks quite likely that it will reach the target. This thing's quite handy.

Kicktraq says that she'll make it http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/1005365109/jane-jensens-pinkerton-road-2012-2013-csg/

I think people are definitely running out of money to pledge, otherwise this would be doing even better. I have no doubt it will succeed, however, because many people sitting on the fence will back it to push it over the line

EDIT: Ninja'd dammit

it's not the question of people running out of money, it's rather the thing that people don't understand that CSG stuff. At this moment you can pay 15$ to get Moebius (as CGS supporter) and 50$ to get all games "in this CSG cycle", which atm is Moebius.

I'd say that starting from the beginning with just one game would be much better idea. She would be above 500k by now, imo.

Yeah if moebius had been say 1/2 complete or at least beyond the "this is one of the projects we're considering" stage when it first hit there would have been more supporters
Such a mismanaged Kickstarter at the start. Form a plan, offer one game, build a proposal, THEN launch it.

"Hey I'm Jane Jensen give me money" isn't good enough. It's gotten better now, but seriously.

Yes, but she deserve some credit after creating several games, she also made Gray Matter only two years ago.

LSL had the same basic problem and it's doing fine now. I think the whole kickstarter thing isn't something that the old veterans have really figured out yet. AFAIK all those projects have been funded, and some quite overly so, but others haven't gotten the money that they really deserve.

Having a classic series and the important people is good, but it's not really enough to maximize the backing. Wasteland 2 and Shadowrun Returns both were handled well and they got bucket loads of cash beyond their initial goal.

The DF Kickstarter was basically: "Hey I'm Tim Schafer give me money".

And I did....

So did I, and him, and probably 3/4 of this community.

But Schafer had a working and acclaimed studio with experienced staff plus he had rabid fans who could spread the word much more efficiently. I did my part for Jane but that's as much as I can, there seems to be far less of a commotion about it.
Whatever... Anyway this extras are awesome, some of the best around kickstarter

This reminds me: is there a way we can point out to her that backers come from GOG? You know how project starters on KS have this feature where you can see where their backers come from, yeah? How do we use that feature to point out that backers are from GOG? Because I'm pretty sure a lot of backers are from GOG, and it'll be a good way to get more developers to sell their products on GOG; also, it's a great way to have people joining the community.

Also, is there any real difference between the $16 and $50 tier? After all, excluding the kiddy adventure game, there's only going to be Moebius.
