Such a mismanaged Kickstarter at the start. Form a plan, offer one game, build a proposal, THEN launch it.
"Hey I'm Jane Jensen give me money" isn't good enough. It's gotten better now, but seriously.
LSL had the same basic problem and it's doing fine now. I think the whole kickstarter thing isn't something that the old veterans have really figured out yet. AFAIK all those projects have been funded, and some quite overly so, but others haven't gotten the money that they really deserve.
Having a classic series and the important people is good, but it's not really enough to maximize the backing. Wasteland 2 and Shadowrun Returns both were handled well and they got bucket loads of cash beyond their initial goal.
