Roman5: Bumping my old Topic to avoid creating a new one. here's to a new sale soon
Damuna: Sale? But we haven't had our Baldur's Gate II yet. :O
Probably sale + no Baldurs Gate II = Baldur's Gate II on sale as it comes out = Only Baldur's Gate will be on sale as to not destroy the epic = Only one game on sale, so it will be *heavily* discounted = Baldur's Gate II will be free!
We're getting free Baldur's Gate II! Tell all your friends!

Remember the Community Favorites sale, where it was all 50% off? No "30% off if you don't buy the whole damn set". Yeah, I liked that. A lot.
I'm personally hoping for an Ubisoft sale. I'd buy nearly all of their games on offer if I could. Just a New World Computing sale would be great as well. All their games are at the $10 price point, though. $10 is very generous, all things considered, but I'm probably spoiled at buying so many of the games I own for $5 and less, thanks to the likes of used game sales and Steam. >_>
With the potential of a sale at some point, and my wallet being less than full, I can be fairly patient. I already bought three of the D&D games at full price, and I've plenty to play, but if I can play HoMM3 that much sooner, I'd not be the least bit upset by a sale!
How much time is left till next promo announcement? Does GOG team have some "stable hour" for release promo info or these hours are different each week?

Usually, it's about this time, but it's never quite exact. I expect it will be announced within two hours at the latest, probably earlier.

Oh, ok then, I was afraid that they release promo info at the same time like new release info. I noticed that new games are often announced around 3pm or later my time (GMT+1). If it is max 2pm then I think I can wait before going out. :P
Haha, I was right. Sale today, no sign of BG2. The trolling continues... :) Nothing really in the sale that I fancy, and I need the cash anyway, so I'm kinda glad there's no BG2 out today.
Friday once again! Hopefully it's something good! I'm going to be away for Thanksgiving next week. With my luck, that'll be exactly when they have some kind of amazing sale, just to spite me... ¬_¬
I've already determined the site doesn't seem to be mobile friendly, as my cellphone cannot get through the checkout process, much less search through items or put them in the cart. I'm looking into bringing a length of telephone wire and seeing if there are still any good free dial-up services around. I'm all for getting the hell away from a glowing screen for a week or two, but all I'll need is a few seconds of internet. Last time I was there, some asshole neighbors had wifi connections, and despite pretty much being in the middle of nowhere, felt the need to password protect it, like they can't withstand somebody leeching a little of their unused bandwidth at four in the morning.
I swear, the whole "password protect your router for 'security' from 'information siphoning hackers'" is just a scam of a scare from internet companies to maximize profits. I keep my wireless connection totally unprotected. Hell, I even have a public file server for anybody close enough to my place to access it. The odds of some guy with a laptop sitting in front of my door trying to find steal private data isn't particularly worth being paranoid about, you know?
Lesson? If you password protect your wireless router, you're a jerk. That, and GOG weekend sales are good.
I am assuming that it will be something special, considering the fact that they had a massive presentation and press conference yesterday and many new people joined in :)
