Hi,
I haven't found a function to add a friend to my gog account, so I can see his activities or games and vice versa. Exists this kind of community function in gog? Like Steam's friend list.
No such feature. But it has been suggested in the past.

Though, with the games being DRM free you probably won't ever see friend activities.

Nope. Your account is viewable only by you, though the GOGWiki does add a little exposure if you want to.
For you to be able to see what your friends are playing, the games would have to be communicating that info with GOG, and that is something gog's games won't do.
No, they don't have a friends function on GOG where you can see what others are up to.

Closest thing is putting a tick in favourite topic box top right of the thread to follow it and if you get a quoted reply then you will get a notification beside the My Account at the top of the screen which will take you directly to the post that has been quoted.
These kinds of threads make me wonder if GOG is going to make an optional client someday...

Friend lists are evil, they always tell me I have no friends...
Thanks for the answers. I think it will take some time until gog is a real alternative to Steam. But so far I can live with it.
I would like to be able to send games to friends as a gift, in that way I would like an ability to add friends, is there such a feature where I can send gifts?

When you buy a game, there is a checkbox "Is this a gift?". Checking it will ask you for an e-mail to send the gift code to (you can use yours) and it will then give you a 16 digit code. Send that code to your friend, and he'll be able to redeem the games from that gift code.
Aha! Thank you, this was helpful to know.
I always found this feature useless .
I really don't need a social feature like that one, thanks. I would rather a "forum member search box" in the PM window, PM'ing someone without need to first look for a post of his through Google would be awesome. ;)

gog should improve community side of site
I find incredible that GOG doesn't allow friend lists. I mean we're in 2013, the era of social networks, the next gen consoles are even putting the friend list limit up to 1000 or something, and what does GOG? Nothing. Incredible. Just incredible.

I don't care if some people finds it useless. These are their problems. I have friends and I want a friend list.

It took them years to introduce forum signatures and they removed them the same day.

It's Poland. You don't work here.
