It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Carl_Ulfric: Non Aussie here. The app is also saying that I'm offline when I am clearly not. I'm from the Philippines. I have reported this and have existing ticket. They haven't gave any definitive answer so far. This is seriously a bad experience for me. I have only used Steam in the past and thought of buying Cyberpunk 2077 on their very own platform to support the devs. But now, here I go doubting if I made the right choice.
I can still access and download my games offline installers through the web browser. That's a plus of being DRM free. Galaxy surely makes things easier and adds auto-updates, overlay, chat, cloud saves etc... but it's optional even most multiplayer games work without the Galaxy client.

Anyway, you could also try to downgrade to Galaxy client v1.2 and disable auto-update for now, if it works for you without a VPN.

I hope that could be of help to you.

Yep have had this issue for several days now. At least the support team knows about it. It's a strange one, that's for sure.
I have just fired up GoG Galaxy for the first time in a few weeks and am also having this issue. Have redownloaded the current installer and reinstalled, same problem.

I am unable to report using the built in "report issue" function because duh, it thinks I'm offline. I'll submit my logs through Mantis instead.

I'm in Tasmania, my ISP is MATE and every other internet service is running without issue.
Ditto. Aussie with Gog Galaxy saying "Not Connected"

fr33kSh0w2012: I went with Mate.Communicate and It SHOT UP to 5.5mbps!

See's everyone in Australia switch to MATE.Communicate XD mate uses VOCUS
I'm with MATE and I'm having this problem, so I don't think we can blame it on ISPs at this point.

Reset modem, Computer, program with no luck.
Anyone else having trouble with Galaxy.
I can confirm that the old Galaxy client v1.2 with auto-update disabled works, as it probably gains access to the GOG backend differently. This workaround should do at least until GOG Galaxy devs get to the bottom of this problem.

It works for those who don't like offline installers and more importantly for those who have already installed games and want to continue syncing their saves after importing them back into that old client.

1. uninstall Galaxy, then download and install the old client hosted on GOG https://content-system.gog.com/open_link/download?path=/open/galaxy/client/setup_galaxy_1.2.67.58.exe
2. DON'T let Galaxy start after the setup (untick the box).
3. Delete C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\redists\GalaxyUpdater.exe
4. Right-click the shortcut, properties, "Target" box, append a space and "/runWithoutUpdating" at the end (without quotation marks)
5. Disable Galaxy autostart in settings on the first run

Thanks for the great work-around.
It isn't a solution, though. Galaxy 2.0 is still broken yet this thread is marked "solved".
Thanks for the workaround. Sad that Galaxy 2 is still broken. Looks like this is mainly affecting us Aussies.

Yeah, makes no sense to flag this "solved". It is not.
Solved in the sense that nothing more can be done from our end as customers.

GOG support are fully aware of the issue.

Work arounds have been given.

There is a chance this issue will never be fully SOLVED.

That's a workaround though, not a solution. It would be solved if 2.0 was working properly.

It's analogous to buying a new car and having its engine fall apart, so you hop into your old clunker to get around in the meantime and then saying your car problem is fixed because you had to go back to your old car which still works fine despite being old and crappy and well out of warranty :/

Thanks for this. I've don as you ask and the old version of the app is now connecting to the servers. The UI is quite ugly and outdated though. *Sigh
I'm a newbie. If I play Cyberpunk (when it's released) without Galaxy, will the game still be automatically updated as they release patches?
I dug around in the python script for Galaxy on Github. I suspect it is an issue with the chromium embedded framework (CEF) version in the latest Galaxy client, but an expert opinion will tell. Oddly the old client's CEF is OK. Why it doesn't play nice in some geolocations beats me?! but my guess it has to do with ISP-level firewalls.

I wish I could be of more help, but hopefully, GOG devs are on it. I wish they could describe the issue in detail in a post though.

If you have no Galaxy or the broken Galaxy 2, it won't update and you'll need to download separate game patches - old school style. If you have Galaxy v1.2, games should auto-update, while Galaxy itself won't.

I am not sure about the latter case, but you can check to see if it is true by installing a small game without its released patched from an offline installer, importing it into the old client, and check if it updates.

Hopefully, the whole issue will be resolved soon and there will be no need for this.
