I've seen that Eador: Genesis has gone on sale this weekend. I remember reading many positive things about it when it came out, and I like the genre, so I put it on my wishlist, though I don't know much about it.

However, I've just now learned that GOG is now selling DLC for at least one (possibly more, from the way this change was explained) of the newer games. I really don't like DLCs and I don't really want to buy games that will receive DLCs in the future. In those cases, I'd rather wait until a complete edition becomes available.

Unfortunately, I probably won't have much time over the weekend, and can't check myself whether Eador: Genesis is in any danger of getting DLCs further down the road (which would invalidate the appeal of its current price). So, could someone who knows more about this game tell me whether it can be considered complete already? Much appreciated!

It's........3......dollars.

(I don't have an answer to your question, sadly. Did you think of asking a staffer through PMs/email?)

It wont have any DLCs.

The developer is working on a new Eador game. It is green lit on Steam, it is expected to be released soon.

Yes, that's exactly the point. For 3 dollars I'll get it. If there's a chain of DLCs behind it that will blow up the price to 13 dollars for the whole package, then I won't. I'd rather wait for a discount on the whole package then.

GOG support is commendably quick, but the community is usually quicker (and often better informed, because each game has its fans which are extremely well informed about it, while GOG has to spread its attention between several hundred products). :)

Shouldn't you probably get a better answer on the devs' own site?
The developers are working on a new entry in the series. DLC seems unlikely.
Thanks mutishev and PenutBrittle. Game bought! :)
I'm hoping there will be, for the new game at least :)

If the game is discounted why do you seem to think the DLC(if the game had been planned to have any, that is) wouldn't have been discounted at some point as well?
