Well I did leave the downloader alone when it froze at 100%. It took some time for it to complete, but then again I got an incomplete/corrupted file - Losing more than 1GB in downloads (I have low bandwidth so it makes difference).

Shinook: hmm, I'm having the download pausing issue as well. Most of the stuff I download halts before it's done downloading, usually in the last 2-3% of the download.

Szulak: Could you guys post your log file? Does it also happens with bonus content or just with games?
Only bonus content in my case. But it’s bonus for Witcher – 1,95 gb in one file and it failed to download two times (I’ve downloaded many other files in the meantime, even Riddick installer).

The problem in downloading game installers has been fixed, which is a relief. But yes, some extras are huge.
Unfortunately, bonus content files are not stored in chunks (like game installers are). In this case, if there is any data loss in connection, Downloader can not determine 'what to download again'. It might change in future when bonus content files will be stored in chunks (parts).

What net connection you have? From log file you posted there are a lot of timeouts, which mean that your net connection was very unstable. Try to change the amount of concurrent downloads to 1 - 2.

The downloader never starts for me anymore. How do I attach the log file? I cannot even start the downloader without it saying:We're sorry but an error occured, then something about sending the very lengthy log file in to support that I have no ideal how to send in other than copying all the text in the log and pasting it which would take forever since there's so much text in it.

Large bonus files should be.

That's the reason why I use the downloader, so I can download stuff without having to worry of my sloppy connection. Also I download stuff one at a time, so there are no concurrent downloads.

EDIT: I have a capped 2mbps connection, which gets downgraded to 1mbps after 80GB.

Just redownloaded my collection to see what has been updated, and "Ultima 4+5+6" has changed the download folder from "ultima_4_5_6" to "ultima_456". Not sure if this is intentional or not, and thankfully it's one of the smaller games.

Hi.

I'm having trouble downloading The Witcher 2 using the latest stable downloader build.

When I pause the download, quit the downloader and then restart it to resume downloading, it doesn't seem to detect the files that I have already downloaded. In other words, whenever I exit the downloader, I have to start all over again (meaning that I would have to download the whole game in one go, which with my download speed of 250kbp/s, is simply not possible).

Downloader version: 3.22.2.0
Windows 7 64 bit French

Here are the last bits of the logger:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1N6HmaCco4zWnaBb-3q1hWGEY5eRhbu4GmbzMHj-xoko/edit

Thanks in advance.
I hadn't tried the Download speed limit in 3.2.2, but in 3.3.2 it clearly doesn't work.

I can set it to 20KB/s and it continues at 60KB/s. I can set it to 2KB/s, and it continues at 60KB/s.

This isn't a big problem for me since I just use NetLimiter to throttle it, but it's clearly a bug.

----------

Hmm, the bug is actually worse than I initially thought.

If you set the throttle to 2KB/s, then the downloader seems to PROGRESS at 2KB/s through the download, but it WASTES 58KB/s of bandwidth (probably it would waste far more if it could but that's as fast as mine goes).

You should definitely put the client on a throttled connection (simulate low bandwidth somehow) and debug and packet trace it. I imagine it's requesting the same thing over and over. This is going to cost you and your customers a lot of money if not fixed.

Book of Unwritten Tales, Mac, German.
Seems like the downloader keeps getting chunk 0 only, thus never able to complete it. After the 4+ GB are downloaded, the .dmg file is still ~30mb, closing and restarting it restarts the download.

Unfortunately, the mac installers are stored in one file, not in chunks like windows installers. Because of them, Downloader in not able to verify how much of mac installer file has been downloaded.
