hi dere.
I'm a soon to be 20 gamer from Mississippi. I joined this site to get some classics to kill time on college campus this year with my netbook (Gateway LT2044u).
I'm a trained EMT (take my national registry exam soon) and in school for pre-medicine studies. I love FPS and RTS games, along with the Madden series.
Hi everyone!
Just wanted to say to the people behind this project how grateful I am! I've always been on the lookout for old games, and before I joined this site I could only get the games through torrents and such. However that requires tweaking and much hassle (and the fear for trojans and worse). If this is as easy as it seems, it's just amazing! And I'll gladly pay a few bucks for someone to tweak the games to work on my new computer! And I had a great day at work as well today! I'm up in the clouds now!
Keep up the good work!
D
Out of curiosity, just how many lurkers and new users did the countdown bring forward and out of the woodworks? I've seen lots of 1 or 2 rep forumers around just this week. Come on! Show of hands... and welcome to GOG.
Hi all, Tom from Australia here...
This website has to be the best thing I've ever seen in years.
Every game I loved in High School is here.
THANK YOU
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
My wife is going to hate you guys, as I'll be playing Constructor and Settlers 2 till my eyes bleed.
Introduce myself? My posts will do that.
I like to keep myself a little mysterious because I'm quite boring and ordinary.
Really I am.
You'd never guess I know.
I tend to give that impression.
That's true.
And so forth.
Hey everybody.
I hail from SC in USA.
I finally found the games I already own in the original disks but can't load on my new fangled computting box. I am a big fan of RPGs. Cut my teeth on Zork when it first came out (age spoiler).
Looking forward to replaying the classics and discussing them with you guys.
Have fun.
Hi there GOG community. I'm from central region of Slovakia (yes, we're a country just like the bigger ones :)) and I'm GOG-curious... for retro gaming is my addiction. My all time favourites are: On GOG :-) : Abe's Oddysee, Abe's Exoddus, Sanitarium
Not On GOG :-( : Blood, Heart of Darkness, Crusader: No Regret & No Remorse
Hello! I'm a gamer from the cold north aka Norway ;D I'm so glad I found this site yesterday, I mean... It'js just amazing. I'm only 20 years old, but so many of these games are so nostalgic to me. Brings tears of joy in my eyes.
I'm another from Australia.
Looks like I am one of the older ones at over 50.
Cheers MarkL

Hi retro gamers
Im from Sweden and at the prime age of 30
Love older games, both console and PC
My first console was the NES and have been gaming on almost everything since then.
I want to give lot of kudos to the gog-team for making all these old games playable on newer systems.

Retroguiden: Hi.
I'm an avid fan of retro gaming since... Well, since I began to realise that many of my favourite games had become retro!
I'm currently run Swedens best retro gaming blog and hope to build on it further. (www.retroguiden.se for those who know swedish).
My philosophy:
I'm not to be confused with a collector. I care more for the art (the games themselves) than the physical package they come in, and I really think old games should be set free for everyone to enjoy. Having said that I think GOG is the next best thing since the prices are acceptable (9.99 is fine for a really good game but anything higher probably wouldnt get me to open my wallet) and they give the impression of having a lot of passion for this - just like me. :)
My stats:
Age: 32
First game system: Odyssey2/Phillips G7000
Favourite game system: Master system/Amiga/Atari ST
Favoruite developer/publisher: Sierra on-line
Favourite game: Morrowind among many (How can you pick just one?)
Favourite genres: Point & click, sports, turn-based strategy, FPS, RPG...
Number of games beaten: Oh, probably 25 or so. I love to play but seldom finish the games. I've hade Morrowind for 7-8 years and still haven't finished the main quest. Sometimes a game is an experience that I never want to end!)
Playing right now: Morrowind, Oblivion, Psychonauts, FM10, PES10, Area-51, Broken sword 4...

Kollade in din blogg och gillar den verkligen. Kul att du recenserar gamla spel, inte ofta man ser det.

Fancied a few old games to keep me ticking over through the dull times at UNI, GoG fits the bill just nicely!
Well, I bought 4 games within about 10 minutes of signing up and they're the best gaming purchases I've made in a long while, they also work on my aged little laptop and Windows XP which is awesome, currently playing through Vampire: Redemption, Falout 2, Kingpin, Steamworks and Jagged Alliance.
Definitely be picking up Fallout: Tactics and Unreal Tournament for old times sakes too, who'd have thought you could get so excited about playing old videogames again?
[You guys, I guess]
GoG is such a brilliant idea and I, for one, wish you all the best of luck with this fantastic project! :)
Cheers again.

This place is actually evil, it can rob you blind. I for one am not sure where my savings went
Yes, definitely! I keep thinking to myself that it's "Only faiive dollah!" Cheaper than a cocktail on a night out in most places, if you're into that kind of thing, but then there's that little niggling voice from the depths of my conscience lecturing me on the scarcity of money and it should be put toward something useful anyway, like spending it on food, the gym, books or... booze! ¬_¬
But Instead I'm spending cash to waste time on games I'd already wasted my childhood on, fun times ^^
[Random question because I'm not sure where to ask and here seems as good a place as any... On the page where you can vote for games you'd love to see added to the catalogue, on the left hand side, is a 'top 10' list of games with thousands of votes. Is it possible to see beyond that top 10? I'm really curious to see what titles are perched further down the list :( .]

Scroll down, you can browse pages. No, there doesn't seem to be any better way. Well, wishlist is kinda a joke anyway, I'm pretty sure you'd find windows in there...
