Thanks to this site we can play our old favourites without the endless fight of stupid copy protection that hates the like of vista. Great to see that we can play games that are games and not well it looks fantastic but where is the gameplay of a lot of the AAA games of today.

My name is Mark, and I'm kicking it from the US.
Been playing games since I can remember. First game I ever remember playing was Wolfenstein 3D. I played that game until my computer hurt. I'm a huge fan of FPS and RTS games (only RTS game that really gets me is Star Craft), but I can play most of them.
I have been looking for a way to get "GOG's" for a while now, and once I saw the Descent series on here, I had to sign up. That may be my favorite game of all time. I never really played Doom that much, but I will be buying games from here and "testing" them to see how they are.
Anyway, that's a little bit about myself.
Happy Fragging!
Good day all,
Scott from way up here in the great white north (thats Canada for you non-Canucks).
I have been playing games from the Atari 2600, thru the TI99/4A the C64 and to the PC. I have played all types of games but my favs include: Wing Commander Series,, Ultima, Might and Magic, BG, Everquest 1+2, Vanguard: SoH, NWN 2 and the lord of all games Civ series. True classics include the gold box series from SSI though, and hope ot see them soon here.
GoG is an old cantankerous gamers dream, I cant wait fro their list to expand and add all the games i remember and love. Some say that time travel is impossible.
Well GoG has just prioved that BS.
To the undisscovered country and happy gaming !!
Hi, Miner Willy, here. I'm one of the old guys, from the days of the good old ZX Spectrum, C64, Amstrad, AtariST, Amiga, etc..
I'm from the UK, and a huge retro-loving nerd, including old games, old hardware, old gaming tv shows like Gamesmaster, Bad Influence, etc..
Looks like GOG is the place to be, and a wonderful idea to get the old games out there.
Look forward to chatting with the already great community. :)
Hey, name is Jeremiah 27 year old gamer from birth.
Primarily a console gamer I was born into a house with an Atari 2600.

The first PC game I ever played was Wolfenstein 3D on my best friend's tandy.
Finally got my first PC around 96' on (which I browsed gaming news on FreeNet using LYNX) and the very first PC game I owned was The Neverhood...and catz......
Myst showed me what I wanted to be when I grow up and am now looking for work as 3D environment modeler.
I still play plenty of games to this day, in fact it is my primary source of entertainment.

Hi everybody!
I'm from Czech Republic (... and not much of an English speaker/writer :D). My first game played were olympic games on PC, don't know which... Then long nothing, aaaand Duke Nukem 3D! Yeah, I'm not too old gamer, but I am a zealous one :D Well, I used to be a more-than-standard nerd, sitting in front of my computer and doing nothing useful but playing games... Since my GF showed me there indeed IS a real world-thing going on outside, I'm not so lost case, but I'm still in 'bad-good' (hard to say) shape, which means I love games: And especially old ones and original ones.
Oh, and I love writing things. You can see that from reviews. AND I can't write english very well. Dangerous combination. Dangerous.
I grew up in the times of all these games, and what a wonderous time it was. Not that I ever got the chance to play or try all the best ones. My first games were from the original DooM trilogy, and the first Descent.
I remember hearing about MDK, and thinking of picking up MDK2 for the Dreamcast in that era, but I never touched that series when it debuted.
As for the Descent series, I went on to pick up the "Gold" edition of Descent 3 at my local game store for $5. It's fun, but not one of my favorite "old" games.
Fallout is something I've only recently heard of, and I still know little about it. I'll probably buy it if it appeals to me later.
My first game here was MDK, as I wanted to see what all the fanfare about MDK2 was for. I enjoyed it so much, I used my B1G1F code to get MDK2. I'm sad to say MDK2 lags like a snail on my laptop for some reason, but I'll likely fix that. I generally always do.
My thoughts on GoG are as follows: Yes. It is the future, or at least, should be. Piracy is something that can only be stopped by creating this trust between the developers and consumers. I hope GoG succeeds, and I hope my fears of it failing or it's databases being raided for card numbers are entirely untrue. I enjoy buying old games, but I also enjoy my identity and money.
Hey everyone! I'm Kourtney from southeast Texas, roughly around the Houston area. I have pretty much been playing games since I could hold a controller in my hands. I started with the intellivision, and played on every kind of console and PC since, except for the 360 and PS3, as I prefer to invest more into PC gaming.
My favorite games were and still are the classic platformers and arcade games. While I do love many of the newer games, it is difficult to beat a puzzle or action platform style game, or the older shoot 'em ups such as GalagaX.
Getting to play games such as the ones GOG have posted has been such a treat. I missed some of these games when they came out, and others I get to revisit all over again. I really can't wait to see what new games they come out with. If they come out with some of the older LucasArts games, I will be in a bit of gaming heaven to enjoy those again, as I have lost my discs over the many years.
Hey, I'm StarFoxA. I've been using computers since, well... ever since I can remember. I'm predominantly a console gamer--modern PC gaming is too expensive, and old-school games are too hard to find--but I do love PC games as well.
My favorite game of all time is Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo. Right now I have a Wii, 360, DS, GBA, and GameCube, I'd like to get a PS2, though. I certainly love the RPG genre, however I am willing to play any game as long as it is entertaining.
GOG is a lifesaver for me. I can't wait to dive in with even more games.
I'm Gary, from Ontario Canada.
I've been into videogames ever since the days of Space Invaders in the arcades, and spent countless hours (and quarters) playing all the latest and greatest arcade games. When I wasn't playing games, I was reading about them in magazines and talking about them with friends.
After arcades died out, I just moved the gaming indoors, and played every console game I could get my hands on: Atari 2600, Intellivison, Colecovision, NES, etc. In the mid-90's I finally got a "real" computer and since then I've primarily been a PC gamer, although I still follow console gaming too, although I don't have a console system right now.
Currently I have boxes and boxes full of PC games waiting to be played. I can't resist a bargain, which is why a site like this is great.
What can I say? I love videogames. ;)
Hello,my name is Michał.I play games on my PC when i was 7.
My first game was Pacman and later i played FPS games like Doom,Hexen and Heretic.
RPG games too but i was too young for that games and these was too hard for me. :)
But i very like these games and nostalgy remains. :)
Once again i say hello to community and GoG team. :)
Hello to everyone and the GOG team. I'm Julian and have been playing PC games since I was around 6. The first game I ever really played was actually a Apple II game. I forget what it was but that was back in kindergarten so, yeah... I remember my first PC game being Dark Forces 2 Jedi Knight. And from playing that I was lost forever. As a gamer, I love just about every genre but sports(mostly, not completely) especially shooters and RPGs.
Keep up the good work GOG team.
Im Vince from Florida. I started gaming really young, playing Wolfenstein with my dad pressing space bar while he navigated at the age of 3. Then i stuck mostly to cheap/crappy pc games till i was around 11 when i got my first console, the Xbox.
Since then i went from a moderate game player to playing every day for hours. I have a 360, PS3, Gaming PC and DS and love most types of games. I may be young but i enjoy the classics (i bought a XArcade stick to play old arcade games in MAME) , i obviously have stronger ties to the games i played as a kid so ive never played most of the ones of this site being as they were either to old or to high end when they came out but i love learning about and playing older games.
I play a lot of Action RPGs, racing and FPS games but i play every genre besides sports. Right now im playing Diablo 2, Oblivion, Burnout Paradise, COD4 and Castle Crashers but i change it up all the time. My gamertag, psn id and steam id is racingfreak92 so add me if you want to play something. I got alot of games so chances are we could play something

Miami, FL.
GOG team, I applaud you.
Tom, live in Canada, been gaming on PC since... hmm... does an Apple IIe count? Choplifter was possibly my true computer-gaming introduction, but that was mostly at school. PC gaming at home took off with Leisure Suit Larry (when I was 10 years old -- oh no, I've turned out to be a terrible human being!) and then X-Wing and anything LucasArts touched, really.
Was lucky enough to turn video games into a career when I got a job at BioWare when I was 19 and haven't looked back since. It's great to work in games, because I actually have to keep up with games. Which means I play them. I started working full-time with CD Projekt earlier this year and was THRILLED to hear about GOG. Back in April I said "this is going to be awesome"... sure enough, here we are. I can't wait to convince every other publisher around that they need their games here.
