Hey guys, I joined this site last night. I don't know how I never noticed it. But anyway, I'm a 19 year old college student from Nebraska and I absolutely love RPG's and cats. My first gaming experience was on the Gameboy Color (Pokemon Red), and I've stuck to it ever since.
I just noticed I've been a member forever and never introduced myself...

Hello everyone I'm Chesney... and I'm an addict !

Actually just kidding sorta I'm a 29 year old mom of 4 but I still make time to game, I love RPGs, RTS, FPS (some),MMO's etc. Love the classic games here and now seeing new ones I cannot complain. Okay so I am not sure where to really go with this intro. Hrrmm I love the old Lucas Arts games recently got my son hooked on Sam & Max and Full Throttle, I even built a retro gaming system so they we could enjoy some of those old games in all their original glory. Oh and I love you GOG!

And to help punch my nerd card some more I still have my pin from The Friends of Doctor Who fan club :-p.

Hello, I started gaming on an Amiga and later got a PC. I particularly loved adventure games some of my favourites being Broken Sword 1 & 2, Under a Killing Moon and The Dig. I then got a PS1 and fell in love with Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid. This is where my love for gaming began

In the last few years I have become very disillusioned with gaming finding fewer and fewer titles I can get my teeth into. Most of the game franchises I used to follow, have provided what I feel are weak sequels. My main problem however are the poor business practises that I see major publishers now using. For me GOG is a breathe of fresh air, with its stance on DRM and having all my old favourite available. I can only hope that throughout its future GOG retains its integrity and sticks to its values as I am sure it will.
Hi All
Just like to say hello and that I'm loving this community already. See you around ;)
Hello,

I'm Nicklaus and I'm 32 years old, and I'm a gamer.

lol

I've been playing since I was 5 years old. My family was different, we started with the Intellivision, then Colecovision, then Nintendo. I never had an atari. But as soon as my family could afford a computer, we got one. And the PC games came soon after.

In fact, some of my best childhood memories was playing the old King's Quest games (and Faerytale Adventure) with my brother and my mom. Later came Monkey Island, and a whole bunch of the Sierra games. My mother, brother, and I would discuss possible solutions to puzzles and figure them out between us. Those solutions always made me feel like a genius.

I'm still playing games now (when I have time - I have two kids), and I'm starting to get burned out by modern gaming. I kinda feel that games these days are all fluff with little substance. So, I've been going back to the classics more often. The classics have loads of substance, because without flashy graphics and gimmick gameplays, they had to rely on strong stories and level design.

I've been buying games here and there on gog.com since 2009 but I haven't bothered with the forums until a week ago.

Yep, that's me.
Greetings my name is Josué Mercado Cancel.

I am currently 20 years old, I am single, and I was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico and currently living in Cabo Rojo.

My future major in college is to try to study politics, history, and mabye computer technology and software.

I like lots of stuff; in music I am a fanatic of Heavy Metal and Classical Music.

Movies the ones I love the most are the ones nominated and won by the Academy Awards

My first time into gaming is cliche I was not aware of gaming completely until when I was 4-5 years old when my brother bought a Nintendo 64 with Super Mario 64 I remember just after we bought it my mother decided instead of taking us home she wanted to visit my grandmother of her side of the family at least my grandmother was loving enough that she let us used her TV to play with it .

My first awareness to a PC was when my mother and I stayed at Missouri for a year and she bought a Windows 98 (or mabye it was a 95) PC damn I still remember what it was like as to how you connect to the internet back then it was slow and I remember hearing this noise coming from the computer itself everytime we connect. Anyways my first experiance with a core PC game was just as cliche as Super Mario 64 is StarCraft 1,that was my first PC game.

As time flew by I grew and learned and all that stuff in life right now I am living a good middle class life in a decent house my mother has veteran benefits and me and my brother aswell since we are her sons (she did not went to combat mind you)
my father is doing ok with the same insurance company he works for in so many years and as for me I think that in the future when I am older I am going to move out of my island
have not decided what country is sutible for me, but I am still thinking heck mabye with the help of this great community of GOG will help me decide :)

Hey everyone, this is Andrew from Miami, FL. I've been a huge fan of PC games since I could operate my opposable thumbs, focusing mostly on strategy games. I also have a near-Pavlovian fanatic response to anything Star Wars, so I'll be first in line when GOG gets X-Wing/Tie Fighter!

Favorite GOG games include Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, Fallout, Jagged Alliance, Space Rangers and Ground Control. Also playing Team Fortress 2, Company of Heroes and Star Wars: The Old Republic.

I'm also a fan of metal and rock in general, including Opeth, Mastodon, Between the Buried and Me, Meshuggah, Children of Bodom, etc.
I've been hanging around for months now, but I somehow never posted here.

I'm 17, from Massachusetts. Formerly homeschooled, now currently in college. I love music ('specially alt rock, classic rock, folk, and prog) and reading and writing. Oh, and gaming obviously. :) I can't remember what my first game that I played was, but I think it was either on Genesis or GBC. Some early games I actually remember were Myst, Riven, and Exile (Loved exploring, especially in Riven, even if I never really solved anything), some n64 games (mainly Mario 64 and Majora's Mask a bit later) and a bunch of RTSs such as Warlord's Battlecry 3, Age of Empires, Majesty (my dad actually worked at the company that made it), Empire Earth, and Age of Mythology. Some of my favorite games (limiting myself to one per series for simplicity's sake) are: Grim Fandango, Thief II: The Metal Age, Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, Dark Souls, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, Mount&Blade: Warband, Skyrim, Bastion, and Gemini Rue.
hi...
My name is Valverde and I am from Portugal.

I have not bought anything because the library is huge and I can't buy all the games :D (that's a nice excuse, i guess!)
Hi *waves*

I'm Pyro and I'm an altiholic, but luckily that doesn't affect my classic gaming. Well, a lack of character creator helps that.
