Hey everybody. I get my name from the Gerin the Fox stories by one of my fav authors, Harry Turtledove. I forgot how I found gog but am so glad I did because all my beloved old games don't run anymore on these newfangled machines (long live Dr. McCoy). Plus through gog I found graphical enhancements for them, support and advice from this community, and new games I never tried. Finally my list of owned games is as long as my wishlist, so I am halfway there. :P I wish I could put more playtime on my wishlist rrrrrrrrr
Hello, everybody. Just bought Crusader: No Remorse. :D

I've heard about GOG before but haven't browsed the site to see what this site was all about. But when I heard the news that Crusader: No Remorse was going to be available on this site, I was so excited to finally be able to download the first game in the Crusader series and decided to check out the site to see what this site is all about. Man, am I glad I took the time to check the site around. So many great classic games and at a good price. Looking forward to more great games and classics and also the eventual release of Crusader: No Regret (I will buy this to show support for the Crusader series, even though I have an original copy).

Keep up the good work. :D
Hi,

Just found this great place and my first game that I bought was Planescape: Torment. Looking forward to make more bargains here! I'm 23 years old and I'm from Sweden by the way.

Hello to you and you annnnnnd... go on then you too.
Dunno why I didn't do this sooner... been lurking around here since before the site relaunch. Like a ninja. Or... something. I dunno. To those who've joined since I started lurking here, welcome!

Anyway, I'll be terse since I tend to ramble a lot. I'm known mostly as DWTerminator via my YouTube channel or the many people I've encountered in multiplayer games I've fiddled with over the past decade. Been gaming since the early 90's and don't expect to stop any time soon. Started doing gaming videos (for both newer and older stuff), especially reviews and Let's Plays, 4 years ago and continue to do so now.

GoG had me on the bandwagon as soon as I saw their catalog... specifically Stonekeep. I'd been looking everywhere for that for years. Nostalgia can be so gratifying sometimes.
Hello there!

I was just wanting to replay Beyond Good and Evil and I just came here and bought it :P. It's an amazing site, I've been knowing it for a couple of years but I didn't bought anything until just now.

I do love the catalogue here, many great classic games, so even though I'm not from the US and I can't afford to buy a game every month, I sure hope to expand my collection here over time.

Cheers.
Hello :-)

Heard about GOG through slashdot.org I think, must have been a year or two ago - finally made an account and bought some games some weeks ago when my Might and Magic-itch got too uncontrollable to ignore. I'm a fan of CRPGs, and I'm mainly using GOG to relive old adventures but I do check out other stuff too - the titles I've bought so far are in the M&M series (of which I already own boxed editions) apart from Psychonauts. I'm looking forward to checking out loads of other games here too - I already own BG 1 and 2, but never got around to pick up Icewind Dale or Planescape:Torment... this'll be funnnnn :-D

Regards,
Lars
Hi there all :)

I'm chartinboy, and I get that name from my hosue, where I've lived most of my life!

I've been a gamer since before I could talk properly, my family introduced me to the Heroes of might and magic game. (whci still play to this day)

Until recently I've only ever really played the most modern of games, but the last few months I've really gotten into old games, as it seems the developers back then put a lot more love into their games!

I've not done much funding of my old game habit, as you can see from my 130 games on steam, and my 5 games on GOG! I've built up a nice large wishlist though, and come payday... :)

Anywya, nice to meet you all, it seems to be a nice community here, so I look forward to lots of geeky chats!

Regards,
Jay
Hi, chartinboy!
May you indeed enjoy your stay and the games you buy from GOG!
hi all!

i've been a faithful gog.com customer for a while now (and have done my bit to spread the word too once i realized how easy it was to gift games to my gamer friends for birthdays, etc) but i never got around to joining the community. as for my gaming cred, i'll admit that i didn't get to experience a lot of these great games back when they were new; i went straight from Duke Nukem and Commander Keen on my family's old 486(?) to Counter-Strike on my first Windows machine; and even now i'm better at buying gog games than i am at playing them. but i think what gog is doing is great and the community seems awesome as well. so yeah, hello!
Hi everyone!

I'm so happy I found out about GOG. To be able to go back and replay all the old Sierra adventure games, as well as so many others I've forgotten about over the years like Crusader: No Remorse, has been amazing. It's great to see these classics made compatible with newer systems.

Looking forward to many more great releases on top of an already impressive catalog! Great work all around!
Hi guys, I'm a longtime abandonware fan and found out about gog not too long ago, been lurking for a bit here hoping Thief I and II might get a rez around here and in the meanwhile want to introduce myself . Love the site so far, so many old games I want to see here but too low in the community wishlist and also saw several that had votes split between proper grammared names and mistyped names it's honestly a mess. Wish GOG could consolidate the list. So many good games could be in higher tiers if the horror the community wishlist is now could be trimmed. So many lost votes :( .

Anyway, I'm glad to be among people that enjoy the good old games of yesterday, very glad to be here!

Cheers!
Hi, all three of you!
Hey everyone, we have about the second user from Panama! El_Caz, you're not alone from your country anymore! :-)
Hello everybody,

I found gog because of the witcher II and stayed because of the titular good old games. So my collection of games keeps growing and the contents of my wallet is dwindling, but im glad to be able to replay or play some classics for the first time. Sorry for any typos or nonsensical sentence structure I might produce in the near future since english is not my native language.
Hey all,

Been here coming up to a year now and just decided to post. I was recommended by my brother and the first game I got was Beneath a Steel Sky, since then I have bought a few others!

Love the site and the service and I come here and lurk regularly so it's about time I posted on the forums :)
